I think NRDC,evelyn hone and chinama should be the first to be univerties before DEC 2012. In as much as we are creating new structures let us Remember the old structures before they become expensive. NRDC is one such college if invested can become practical school of Agriculture can assist the country move forward,the Minister is bias to education sector but we want agriculture sector to more forward.I would be happy to see a farmer in the village with a degree.

Converting isn’t good. Some of these colleges need to remain such or as technical colleges cos the nation doesnt want only degree holding job seekers. South Africa is crying over its decision to do away with its technikons because it is producing only University graduates who cant find jobs It has no artisans and technicians and these are what the employer or industry is looking for

We can not convert every college into a university. it is not just changing the name, the institution has to meet certain criteria to be called unversity. we may end up Matero university without accreditation. Look at CBU and UNZA degrees obtained from these institution are recognised in the UK. You can the degree to enter on a master programme. What should happen is to improve these two universities, I am sure you will agree with me that the infrstructure on these institutions are not update. Once the infrusture has been updated then we can look at converting other colleges.ok, here it is;
