Mayuka Set For Late AFCON Release

Southampton striker Emmanuel Mayuka is expected to be the last player to join Zambia’s pre-2013 Africa Cup camp in January.

Football Association of Zambia communications officer Erick Mwanza told MTNFootball.com that they will be expecting an almost full house after Boxing Day when the team heads to South Africa for camping.

Mayuka was this year’s Africa Cup golden boot winner with three goals.

FIFA rules state that clubs are obliged to release a player 14 days before the start of the Africa Cup.

The 2013 Africa Cup will run from January 19 to February 9 in South Africa.

mayuka we pray for u not to get injured. Wish u good luck as u struggle and strive to score your first goal in the EPL. It will surely come though we had hoped for u to score against Man Utd.
