HH Says MMD, UPND Incompatible ‘Because MMD is led by a Bemba’
OPPOSITION United Party for National Development and tribalism haunted leader Hakainde Hichilema says the MMD is led by a Bemba making it difficult to go into a pact with it.
Hichilema said yesterday that his party can’t work with MMD because its leader Nevers Mumba is a Bemba who cannot be trusted between the two parties.
Hichilema said he would rather work with Milupi and ruled out any possibilities of uniting with the National Restoration Party (NAREP) of Elias Chipimo brandinbg him (Chipimo) a tribalist.
He said his party also failed to work with the PF because its leader President Michael Sata is a Bemba.
And according to sources close to Tumfweko.com, some MPS within the UPND have said they are tired of belonging to the opposition charging that Hichilema should not force them to be tribalists.
The sources said the named MPs have vowed gto accept any government portfolios should President Sata offer them.
“They are fade up of Hichilema’s tribalism and can’t see anything wrong in working with the ruling party to develop the country,” said the source.
