I visited my former neighborhood Lubuto West in Ndola recently and I wasn’t impressed with what I saw. Besides the road the MMD worked on their way out, there is nothing to write home about.
I couldn’t believe the Lubuto Public Library has been closed for years now. When I decided to dig a little information on the MP for Kabushi Constituency under which Lubuto West falls, I found out that the area MP is a 51-year-old widow named Dorothy Mupeta Kazunga. According to the information on National Assembly website, this honorable MP only went as far as Form Two in her education.
Let’s be honesty people. Was this the best candidate PF could come up with in the September 2011 general elections?
Was it possible for a Form Two like Ms Kazunga to scoop the Kabushi Constituency seat if she stood on the MMD ticket or any other party?
It is clear people where voting for a party and not the person standing. How do you expect a Form Two to represent you in parliament? How can a form two articulate issues pertaining to good governance? Can someone like her call the Councillor and make a directive? Your guess is as good as mine.
I doubt whether this lady has even visited her area since she got elected. But I think I understand why there is little development in Kabushi Constituency and why the public library is closed. How do you expect a Form Two to appreciate educational facilities like a library.
But what hurts much is the fact that after her term, this lady will still collect her gratuity regardless of doing nothing for her constituency.

Pliz pipo this article may be misleading it is not always true to say if someone is educate then he/she is wise some of the educated pipo are the waste it comes intergrity & wisdom so it is very unfair to judge the MP Basing on her education.

Ndola was Chiluba’s and Mwanawansa’s home city, why didn’t they use their influence to develop the city? MMD was in power for 20 years, if there was development , I am sure you can see it. Do not blame the failure of MMD on PF, 20yrs cannot be compared to less than 2yrs,at least PF have started infrastructure development like roads and bridges. Under MMD almost all libraries across the nation were closed, Lubuto is not the only one. Their cadres were not interested in reading but hustling in bus stations and markets. Under MMD, the Ndola town DC could not speak or write any English, how do expect such a man to even interpret or implement any policy when he cannot read? I am sure he never made it to grade one.

That Kazunga thing lied to Masala people that she would unblock the sewer pipe which are ever blocked. When she comes to Ndola, she only bring food to her mother in Skyways and goes back incognital. It is Councillor James Banda who does the work for her.

Education level has nothing to do with the performance of an individual. MK, if you can tell us, how many Professors in Zambia are successful and you can admire? How many Engineers do we have in Zambia? Many! They can’t even make a needle. Has education helped? Yes, but not beyond them. MK, is KK a university graduate? Oh! Come on! If you graduates can fear to stand in that constituency, did you expect the sit to be vacant? Ofcourse not. No graduate came forth. They are just busy with critics. Be blessed and get involved in the development of the said area. Thank you.

Kwena uyu chikala @MK ni nkusa sana ayi,dat lady u are criticising is far much beta than the likes of dat prostitute called Dora Siliya, who exhibited her true combonic ghetto culture in parliament, jst bcoz her former boyfriend was stripped of his immunity..lastly,2be in an ELECTED office doesnt require one to hav degree’s or PHDs,even a grade zero can be voted into office by the electorates mwana,it is not papers dat determine but the electorates waumfwa iwe..so the electorates in this case prefered the grade nine to ur so called qualified people full stop.

The issue here is not education. It is honourable Kazunga. It’s true even a person who can’t read can do big things. But this Kabushi MP can only chew your tax. In paliament people talk, temwakwikala fye nge cipushi. PF has better candidares.

education is good, wisdom and knowledge are two different people, there are people who are naturally bright, Mukwa Secondary School in Kanyama lUSAKA , the owner was a grade seven drop-out, the School is on the Zambian calender, manned by his children now that he is the late, it started as a nursary now it is a chain puller of Kanyama, find out for yourself, it appears in the zambian directory, I have worked with educated peole, who seem not to care about us people in the villages. hands of the honourable. work well.

Ba MK are you telling us that this lady cant express her self in english or maybe the closure of the public library has something to do with her level of education. That library stopped functioning some good five years ago when i was still a lubuto residence in 2008 when MMD was in power. My dear bro form is better than yo present grade nine if u talked of grade nine yes i would have agreed with u.Allow me to mention a good exmple of a fine quality form two ex mp and an aspiring candite in the just ended livingstone by elections can you say UPND never had qualified people.

MK You guyz live life of imagination, building castles in the air. Leadership is not about education but in born. Just because there are more universities today and you think only graduates must be leaders ! SHAME on you.Madam Kazunga went to those good schools and infact she must be in her early 60s and lives in the consitituency and was a DC in MMD so she knows Kabushi better than you Mr Educated. Your reasoning is typical of UPND advocates of Degrees and they will never go anywhre in this country ! PF is pro poor party and its government, leave Madam Kazunga alone

Most so called graduates and grade twelve cannot speak better English than the old form 2, 3 and 5 of yesteryears. Today’s grade 12 cannot even differentiate l and r. Even grade 7 of seventies is more superior than a grade 12 of today. A grade 7 of today cannot be equated to any grade.
