Mazabuka Man Arrested For Defilement
Police in Mazabuka have arrested a 23-year-old man for allegedly defiling an 11-year-old.
Assistant police commissioner Kashif Mphande named the suspect as Bornwell Milambo.
Mphande said Milambo allegedly defiled the girl of Chula Township in Zambia Sugar Estates on Thursday last week around 22:00 hours.
He said the juvenile sustained painful private parts and was found bleeding before she was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Mphande said a medical report was issued which certified that the girl had been defiled.
He said Milambo was apprehended by police and was expected to appear in court this week.
“We received a report from the mother of the girl that her daughter was allegedly defiled by a Mr Milambo. Defilement is a serious case and our appeal as police is for men to desist from such acts because they are endangering the lives of young girls,” said Mphande.
