Zambia U-20 Defeats Mozambique

Zambia’s Under-20 defeated Mozambique in Maputo 2-0 picking vital away goals in the Africa Youth Championship.

Patrick Ngoma and captain Lubambo Msuonda contributed a goal apiece to grant Zambia a result that makes the return leg a near formality.

Kalusha Bwalya, the FAZ president, posted on twitter expressing delight and encouraging the team to keep up with the spirit.

He said; “Zambia DL (delegation leader) Jeff Chipilingu says ‘it’s been a long time I saw a well organized and compact Zambia U-20 team, it has a huge potential and we need to support them totally’. Good to hear that. Certainly, we are on the right track.”

Zambia will host Mozambique in a fortnight to determine which team progresses to the next round.
