Mumba: It’s Anti-Bemba Fights

NEVERS Mumba says his quest to become Republican president has become a huge challenge due to tribalism being exhibited by politicians in and outside the MMD.
Speaking when he featured on a special programme on Kitwe’s Radio Icengelo yesterday, Mumba, who is MMD president, said it was unacceptable that some individuals in the political arena had vowed to fight him and block him from becoming Republican president on the premise that he was a Bemba-speaking person just like President Michael Sata.
Mumba said tribalism was evil and those that were using it to fight him would not succeed.
“Even the PF is fighting that MMD dies and some people inside the MMD are fighting me. My candidature has always been a challenge because I have people that fight me from different fronts and I am glad for that,” Mumba said. “Some people have vowed that they would not allow a Bemba to become president in this country after Mr Sata. These are anti-Bemba fights and we have to fight that and make sure that every Zambian understands that leadership is from God and you cannot use tribe to win an election.”
He said politics of tribe must be discouraged because they could have dangerous effects to a developing democracy like Zambia.
Meanwhile, Mumba said the former ruling party would remain the only genuinely democratic party that belongs to all its members, the old and the new.
He said accusations from some people within the party that he wanted to chase away old members were untrue and unfounded.
“Our responsibility is to shape our party, unfortunately some people are going round telling lies that I want to remove old members from the party. That is a biggest lie our enemies want to advance,” said Mumba.

One does not have far to look to see tribalism manifested in Sata’s cabinet and the cronyism he has practiced from the day he went to state house. The mark tribalism is in the foreign service, parastatal chiefs, etc.

Dr Mumba,be rest assured that any Anti-Bemba Campaign Agenda will not work.Zambia is a Christian Nation(been dedicated to God). This dedication is NOT in vain.Any devilish/demonic Agenda won’t work.God desires to deliver this nation from any demonic influency.Non-spiritual zambians may not see this, but God is at work. Therefore Dr Mumba, the battle is not physical, but spiritual. So the battle has been won spiritually. The “Egyptians” you see,you shall see them no more.

‘Leadership is from God…? ‘ This guy has no idea about politics, no wonder he will never win any election in this human world. He is just showing his tribalism by accusing his party friends, I am a Bemba but I dot go around accusing my friends of tribalism every time we have some differences.
