Bishop Joe Imakando

Bishop Joe Imakando

Bread of Life Church International overseer Bishop Joe Imakando has appealed to Zambians to stop wasting their money travelling abroad to seek divine intervention.

Bishop Imakando in an interview with Hot FM News wondered why sick people do not seek prayers locally when Zambia also has powerful men of God.

The local powerful men of God only perform miracles to make themselves rich and not to heal the sick. We haven’t seen those miracles from the so called powerful men of God.

. . Findings have shown that many con Pastors have founded churches mainly for commercial purposes and this is made possible by the fact that there are barely any regulations for setting up a church. Almost every Pastor has a similar story to tell, ask any Pastor what brought him into ministry and he will tell you “I HEARD A CALL ”.

Observer you are correct, the men of GOD in Zambia should stop charging when praying for for a sick or demon possessed person.Whenever a person is prayed for, at the end a pastor will demand something from that person, thats why they are getting richer and the followers are suffering….

As we go torwards the end of the world the devil will perform a lot of miracles, even comand fire to come from heaven, such that even the elect will be deceived. Those who are looking for miracles becareful you are at danger. Its possible others instead of getting healed they actually acuire more demons. Sometimes you can be sick but if your sins are forgiven you have more peace, you can be among the poor of the poorest but if you have Jesus in your life you will be happy more than the richest man on earth. Be alert christians.

yes we have con-men pastors here too

Yes, the dogs are forever looking for food; while these, the keepers of the sheep, are without wisdom: they have all gone after their pleasure, every one looking for profit; they are all the same.

They performs “miracles” at a price..

They associate with a local prostitutes
They hire youths with very polished English to attract the faithful.

I met a pastor who allegedly pays people to give false testimonies in church to prove that he can perform miracles.
A Commercial Sex Worker came forward claiming that not only was he her customer but that he paid her to claim that she had a deformed mouth which he prayed for and she got healed.

Religion has become big business. Pastors and Bishops who head these churches especially Pentecostal ones promoting the dream of escaping poverty through life changing miracles, prosperity messages that promise life’s pleasures like expensive cars, dream jobs, big houses, rich spouses among many other promises. Pentecostal Churches have been turned into corporations, which are changing the face of Christianity.

The Reverends and the Bishops we have here in Zambia are just businessmen and Women.
I always wonder why they keep on Advertising same things where money is concerned. The Blind will see and the lame will walk. Why can’t they stop these pronouncements to attract people with problems. Why should we sustain them as Christians? They lead expensive life with their Families. Some of the so called pastors and bishops have their Children who outside the Country for their education sponsored by Members of the Church. These Members of the Church will never even in the near future have their own Children to go abroad. But these pastors and Bishops we have are businessmen that’s why we are having an influx of people seeking healing outside our Country.

Pastor Joe, its not that you have to shout out your ‘powerfulness’ the thing is your works shall attract seekers. Why do you think that I’d rather go to a private clinic than to UTH, even though more expensive, I will receive a better, quicker service. Same applies, most of you our local ‘powerful’ men of God are not approachable. Your Christ is too posh!

No one can refuse to be part of life changing miracles that are specifically found in Pentecostal Churches and among these promises, many have been caught up in a web of carefully crafted lies that have led to their loss of money to these unscrupulous clergymen. Stories have been told of how unsuspecting church members have been duped of large sums of money all in the name of a miracle.

I’m sorry to break it to you, but there are no “real” pastors either. They just have less flashy modus operandi. The bureaucratic setups of orthodox denominations ensures that no one priest gathers all the money. But the money is still being made. Think about all the untaxed revenues. Religion is a joke. It is no coincidence that it only flourishes in places where ignorance, strife and therefore desperation is widespread. If education everywhere was critical-thinking centered, we’d have none of this.

‘men of God’ these days no longer trust God with their security as they go about with stern looking bodyguards, they move around in convoys of vehicles, including escort and pilot vehicles. Some even fly in private jets, It is even so bad in some cases that some Pastors no longer wipe sweat off their brows by themselves; there are people on ground whose job it is to do it for them.

    June 9, 2014 at 9:23 am

A lot of Pastors have since substituted God’s message for what the people want to hear. Prosperity has overridden salvation in the messages of “men of God”. Where they preach such messages, auditoriums are always filled to capacity. Even for lunch hour programmes, people leave their offices to attend “prosperity prayers”. The wave of prosperity is also spreading as it is winning more and more people by the day. Churches now have more branches than any company in the country.

Ignorance is fast taking its toll on Christians as some pray and just wait for the breakthrough to come and meet them just because they have given offerings. Some have even taken it to another dimension that the easiest way to get rich is to give to the church. “Jesus was not poor, my God is not a poor God”, Pastors now tell their congregation. Some even say “it is a sin to be poor” thus pointing out to the poor in the church that something is wrong with them

Another scripture that has become a major weapon in the arsenal of con Pastors is Malachi 3:10. “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse that there might be meat in my house” they announce every Sunday. Meanwhile, not all members can say exactly what becomes of their tithes and offerings after the service.

@ The Call, I cant agree with you more. Have you also noticed that in as much as Malachi 3:10 is preached every sunday…you rarely hear of that verse (Have forgotten it) which says “Whatsover you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me. When I was thirsty you gave me to drink, when I was hungry you gave me to eat…..now enter into the home of my father”?

Women who are “looking up to God for the fruit of the womb” seem to be the most vulnerable.. most of them give their full cooperation and they do all that is requested of them. Many of them have ended up in the arms and beds of “men of God” in the name of looking for children.

It must be made known that there is a difference between ”powerful men of God and Annoited men of God”,and the problem is that we do not see anything Godly from the powerful ones other than pride,self-ego,earthly ambition. At least the men of God outside will not demand a seed for you to see them.Unlike here where they have been idolised yet amassing from the unsuspecting faithfuls.
Bring forth your works and people shall come. You shall see them by their works.Of course not works of private jets, highly mechanized farms, how many members they have.
True or not,you can not see Bishop Imakando barehanded!!!
People are looking for freedom from principalities and the rulers of this world who have bonded so many. That freedom can only come from God Almighty through the Annoited men of God,and not powerful men of God.
People are looking for solutions to receive that heavenly peace.

My husband once got his benefits when one the companies he was working for got privatised. He was a deacon in the church and the pastor convinced him to give all his benefits to the church in order to be blessed. He gave away 95% of his benefits without telling me (for obvious reasons). Since then he hasn’t been working and I am the only one working and we are really suffering. The same pastors who advised him to give his benefits to church are not helping him at all.

even Noah was ridiculed, but at the appointed time, there were sharp desperate voices and knocks on the door of the very boat that they insulted. keep the fire burning!!! bless you Sir

Can such a man of God deliver any one? This so called powerful man of God actually needs deliverance himself.

We pray with T.B Joshua live on Emmanuel TV which is free to air. 90% of the people who worship at SCOAN do not even travel to Nigeria. In Europe congregants meet at Troxy Theater and Birmingham Hall and pray with the rest of the world on live TV.Deliverance and miracles do happen while praying on TV. We are yet to have such a TV channel in Zambia. Christianity is a battle field. Statements of that nature will not help many who are genuinely seeking God.
