Kambwili Predicts Mass Exodus Of Ministers From Govt

National Democratic Congress (NDC) Political heavyweight and Consultant Chishimba Kambwili says more ministers are expected to resign from government as a result of the alleged rampant corruption in President Edgar Lungu’s administration.
Commenting on the resignation of Foreign Affairs Minister Harry Kalaba from government yesterday, Mr. Kambwili told Phoenix news that all genuine ministers that do not want to associate themselves with corrupt practices will resign.
Mr. Kambwili who is also Roan constituency Member of Parliament has since invited Mr. Kalaba to work with the newly formed NDC.
But political analyst, Alex Ngoma says there is nothing sinister with the resignation of Mr. Kalaba as foreign affairs minister because there are people that have resigned in a similar manner for various reasons.
Dr Ngoma has told phoenix news that the decision made by Mr. Kalaba should therefore be respected especially that he has clearly stated his reasons for resigning.
Meanwhile, state house has now confirmed receiving Mr. kabala’s resignation letter.
And patriotic front deputy secretary general Mumbi Phiri has assured that the ruling party will fight corruption and that there will be no sacred cows in the fight.
In a statement issued to Phoenix news, Mrs. Phiri states that the party will not condone any form of corruption as it understands the weight of the responsibility that comes with the mandate given by the people.
