THE Mongu High Court has sentenced a 24-year-old woman of Mongu to 12 months simple imprisonment for attempted infanticide.
Lusaka judge Justice Sharon Newa sent Kapanda Ngongolo to the correctional facility for a year for attempting to kill her child, who she dumped in a pit latrine.
Ngongolo pleaded guilty to the offence.
