National Sports Council of Zambia – NSCZ through the ministry of Sports and child development have agreed to sponsor Lukanga Mambwe to participate in Draught world Championship.

NSCZ Acting general Secretary Raphael Mulenga says this to ensure a representative from Zambia will be able to reap medals.

Mulenga says the Draught association failed to raise money for the 10 Draught players that needed to take part in tournament to be held in Bulgaria, hence the coming in of the council.

He adds that Mambwe being the current Draught southern region Champion and international Draught grand Master has a high chance of performing well at the tournament.
