Copperbelt Province Police Commissioner Charity Katanga has advised the lady who was brutalized by a group of women led by a woman only identified as bana Joy to report the matter to the police.
In a video that has gone viral, the suspect, Bana Joy is seen threatening to burn her on allegation that she was going out with her husband.
In a statement issued to Phoenix News, Ms. Katanga says the victim brutalized and has a right to report.
Mrs. Katanga has said in the absence of victim reporting, police will institute its own investigation into the footage and take appropriate action.
A few months ago, two women were sentenced to 18 years imprisonment for inserting a bottle into another woman’s private parts on allegation that the victim was having an affair with one of the suspect’s husband.
