The Patriotic Front says the refusal by some ex and serving ministers who have been ordered by the constitutional court to pay back monies they accrued for staying in office illegally before the 2016 election will not de- campaign the ruling party going into the 2021 election.

PF Media Director, Sunday Chanda says this is because the issue does not concern the party as it’s sorely under the ministry of justice.

Mr. Chanda has told phoenix news that individual ex and current ministers who want to pay back will do so but that whether adhered to or not, the subject would not have any impact on party campaigns ahead of the 2021 election.

He however disagrees with the ConCourt ruling arguing that the said ministers were at the time rendering a service to the nation.
