Mutati Says He Will Not Appeal Against Court Ruling That Gave Nevers Mumba MMD Presidency

Former Finance Minister Felix Mutati says he will not appeal against a court ruling that pronounced Dr. Nevers Mumba as the duly elected leader of the movement for Multi-party Democracy (MMD).

Speaking to journalists in Kafue, Mr. Mutati says he respects the court judgement and that he cannot continue on a path of continued quarrels and fights further stating that he will be consulting on the next move with various stakeholders.

Mr. Mutati says he remains open to options that are progressive and are aimed at addressing challenges being experienced by Zambians.

Two factions of the mmd had emerged between Mr. Mutati and Dr Mumba both claiming to be the legitimate head of the former ruling party.

Meanwhile, Mr. Mutati has donated roofing materials to the reformed church in Zambia -RCZ- Kafue town branch which he pledged in February this year.
