Democratic Party President Harry Kalaba says he is dismayed by the rulling Patriotic Front (PF) party’s stance to promote tribalism and division in the country.

Speaking in Lusaka today, Mr Kalaba said the Catholic run station has promoted unity from time in memorial.

“Lutanda Radio station has always promoted unity in the country and heralded the message of peace. But today is a victim of trickery by the PF culprits which has seen its closure”, Mr. Kalaba said.

And Mr Kalaba says it is shocking that President Edgar Lungu has remained silent over the matter.

The DP leader has however appealed to the Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) to exercise leniency by reopening Lutanda Radio Station.
