Zambian DNA congratulates the ruling PF for retaining the Chilubi parliamentary by-elections.
We also congratulate them for emerging victorious in
Mongu Central’s Kande Ward, Mitete in Kakwacha Ward and Lukau in Lukulu Ward, respectively.
The PF’s victory in the former UPND stronghold proves that the people of Western Province have been inspired by President Edgar Lungu’s massive developmental infrastructure projects he is rolling out in that Province, and all parts of the country. It’s also worth noting that the people of Western Province have realized that the opposition has nothing to offer except peddling falsehoods against Government officials.
We commend all political parties that participated in the just-ended by-elections as this proves how Zambia is a functioning democracy.
We salute the voters who braced the rains to cast their votes. We also commend the Police for ensuring the elections were conducted in the peaceful atmosphere.
Most of all, we commend the Electoral Commission of Zambia for conducting transparent, free and fair elections as they have always done.
