THE Drug Enforcement Commission on the Copperbelt has arrested a 56 year-old businessman of Kitwe for being in possession of over $19, 000 United States Dollars counterfeit notes.
Fumbelo Westard, a businessman of House No. 10116/2 Garneton East in Kitwe was apprehended at a Zambia National Service checkpoint in Minambe area between Mufulira and Mokambo Border on a taxi coming from Kitwe.
And DEC in Central Province has arrested Adam Musonda aged 42, a small scale farmer of Chief Chipepo’s area in Kapiri Mposhi District for unlawful cultivation of fresh cannabis plants weighing 90kg.
DEC Spokesperson Theresa Katongo in a statement to Mwebantu said all suspects are in custody and expected to appear in court soon.
