Catholic Priests Defend PF’s ‘FightBack’ Call

Catholic Priest, Father Richard Luonde, has come to the defence of Patriotic Front Spokesperson Winter Kabimba over his call to members to retaliate if provoked.
Father Luonde says Mr. Kabimba’s statements could not have come from without but because the MMD is in the forefront of perpetrating violence citing a number of past violent incidences.
He further observes the need to find a solution to the problem as opposed to putting the blame on individual parties.
Father Luonde has since asked the Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) president Rupiah Banda to show leadership by publicly condemning violence before, during and after elections.
Meanwhile, Get Involved Zambia Executive Director Father Frank Bwalya has echoed Mr. Kabimbas call saying Zambians should defend themselves with maximum force when provoked.

“Can we conceive of a greater incongruity, than for a Christian to go from his closet, where he has been praying for his enemies, and command his troops to plunge the weapons of death with fiend like fury, into the hearts of those very enemies? In the one case, he happily resembles his dying Master; but whom does he resemble in the other? Jesus prayed for his murderers. Christians murder those for whom they pray.”
“When shall we believe the Almighty who assures us that he is ‘not mocked?’ When shall we understand the nature, the genius, of that holy religion which requires us to abstain from even the ‘appearance of evil?’ . . . Is it not a libel on the Son of the blessed, to suppose that his religion requires a man to act like an angel in one relation, and allows him to act like a demon in another?”

Yayaya enh! Since wen did luode become a catholic priest and since wen did frank bwalya go for a retreat 2 be welcomed in the catholic priesthood family? Luode is an aglican priest and a pf cadre. Frank bwalya is a senior pf cadre and a suspended catholic priest who wil only be adressed 2 as father after he repents and go 4 a retreat and the authorities in the church sees it right 2 welcome him into the family of preists. As things stand Bwalya is a disgrace 2 the church to the bishop and 2 the catholic church. I urge him 2 consider the pact he made with God with the seriousness it deserves than 2 fool people around with mwana kaunda who wants to pretend 2 be a messiah now. Bwalya made solem vows 2 save God til his death not 2 become a politian seeking a job from the unpreditable pf leadership. We saw u frank at the pf convention wat were u doing speaking 4 the poor. How? U have cleared shown us ur true culors. May GOD Deliver u. May he put words of peace and unity in ur mouth so that even those who would think of voelence get 2 love wen they hear u speak. May God bring back the sprit of father frank bwalya we knew who in mass tranformed the hoist into the body of christ and we were spritualy nourished. May God give us a Father frank bwalya 2 b an instrument of peace in this year election. Lord hear us.

Allow me with the vehement i deserve, to chip in and correct these RB vuvuzelas, who lack direction and obviously with no doubt, are heading to a huge downfall, better than that of gbagbo, hitlah, saddam hussen or the great holy man, muammar gaddafi. Firstly, let me express my sincere saddness at the fact that those opposing fr. Frank and luonde, dont know anything about the word of God, but only have some rumours of what the bible says about certain things from some hearsays. Fr. Frank bwalya, did not make vows to save God but he made vows to serve God and to save people from both the spiritual oppressions and the physical oppressions. When bwalya voices out for the voiceless over political oppressions against the children God he made in his own image, it should not be a crime that the mmd and their vuvuzelaz should begin to insult the holy man, father bwalya. If i may recall very well, Jesus condemned the pharisees for their hypocrisy towards people. Pharisees ruled the world at that time and he condemned them. Fr. Bwalya and luonde are simply condeming rupiah’s biasness towards the opposition. We will fight back if need be and rupiah will fall like tick from the buffalo’s skin. We should not be leud into believing that mmd is a peace loving party. We know of william bamba and his thugs. We will burry them like rats on an out hole. They spilled the hot beans in the first place, the mmd showed everyone how to be a cadre or how to fight an opponent. So, its getting back to them. They have to face it.
