Sakwiba : Postponement Of Elections Not Practical And PF Should Stop Playing Hide And Seek

United Liberal Party leader Sakwiba Sikota says people calling for the postponement of the 20th September elections should realize that it is not possible or practical.
Mr Sikota says it is not practicable at this stage to talk of having the ballot papers for this year’s elections done by some other printer.
He says to attempt to do so will present a serious risk of failing to meet the Zambian constitutional requirements regarding the dates when elections are to be held.
Mr Sikota was reacting to suggestions by some stakeholders for the ECZ to cancel UPG contract for the printing of ballots following allegations of corruption by former Kabwata Member of Parliament Given Lubinda.
And Mr Sikota has called on the Patriotic Front to stop playing what he describes as hide and seek with regards to their allegations of corruption against UPG.
He says the information that the PF has on the UPG corruption allegations should be shared with all stakeholders who are participating in the elections.
He says the ULP is interested in the matter seeing that they are participating in the elections at parliamentary and local government level.
