Zambia needed a late goal from Emmanuel Mayuka to earn a hard faught 2-1 away win over Comoros in a 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier as the Chipolopolo Boys reclaimed top spot in Group C.
Skipper Chris Katongo scored on the half away mark but the home side replied and equalised before the break to send the two teams to the break 1-1.
After the break, the ineffective Thomas Nyirenda was withdrawn for Fwayo Tembo and Bonetti pushed Rainford Kalaba back into the middle of the pack while the substitute and Katongo occupied the flanks.
Despite making the change, Zambia still struggled save a spell when Collins Mbesuma combined well with James Chamanga and Bonetti had to make another change, bringing on Mayuka but again the performance was average.
Zambia Line Up: Kennedy Mweene – Francis Kasonde, Nyambe Mulenga, Stopilla Sunzu, Joseph Musonda – Chris Katongo (Given Singuluma, 78′) , Thomas Nyirenda (Fwayo Tembo, 46′), Justine Zulu, Rainford Kalaba – James Chamanga, Collins Mbesuma (Emmanuel Mayuka, 62′)

Queen’s language understandably. You win a game, you beat your opponent. you don’t ‘win’ Comoros, you ‘beat’ Comoros.
