Ruling MMD Provincial Chairman william Banda has denied been part of violence  which  resulted in a number of people suffering injury  in chongwe district recently.

Mr Banda who was summoned by the police  arrived at 14hours and proceed to one of the rooms to be inteveiwed by police officers.

As he was interviewd by the police officers a convoy of opposition Patriotic Front cadres were seen passing by church road while chanting party slogans.

The move angered an MMD official who made a call to his colleagues  to bring 10 buses full of caders to come and clash their rivals but his colleague managed to grab his phone which  annoyed him and said in a loud voice “What are you fearing? Kabonde issued instructions to the Police command that anyone arrested for election violence must be locked up until after elections. William Banda qualifies for LOCKDOWN.
