Renard Hopes For RB Victory… ‘I Regret Quitting Chipolopolo’

Former Zambia National Soccer Team coach Herve Renard says he is hopeful President Rupiah Banda will win next week’s general elections.
Renard says President Banda’s passion for Zambian Football is key to Chipolopolo’s success in the Brazil 2014 qualifiers.
The former Chipolopolo coach, who also says he regrets leaving the Zambian job, says president Banda has the potential to spur Zambia to a maiden appearance at the 2014 world cup finals.
According to the Bola Yathu Website monitored by ZNBC sports in Lusaka, Renard says President Banda helped the squad very much during his reign as coach of the national team.
Renard has described President Banda as a father to him, whose commitment to football contributed to the Chipolopolo reaching the quarter finals of the Africa Cup of nations in Angola last year.
During Renard’s stay in Zambia the President mobilised funds for his salary, transport and accommodation as well as Zambia’s 2010 Africa and World cup campaign.
President Banda has continued to mobilise private sector support for the national team.

Herve Renard’s plan is to get back chipolopolo job & use us by marketing himself at Afcon next year & later ditch us for a better job. He’s currently coaching a small club in Algeria. He thought after the good performance with Zambia, he would be very marketable.
