ISRAEL based midfielder William Njobvu says he will continue fighting for a place in the Chipolopolo starting XI.
Njobvu who turns up Israeli side Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona FC has been a peripheral figure in Dario Bonetti’s side despite being a regular call up.
The 22 year old believes his hour to take a more prominent role is not far and will continue working hard.
“As for the national team I think what is important is that I am part of the team. If the coach gives you a chance to be part of the team it means he knows you can do the work,” said the 2007 under-20 FIFA World Cup star.
“The coach believes I can do it and I know I will get my chance. It is just a matter of time then I will get my chance. I am working hard for that opportunity to come.”
He added: “I will keep fighting for a place in the national team. We have a very competitive team which is very good for our country.”
Njobvu was unused substitute in Zambia 2-1 away win to Comoros on September 4.
He came on in the second half of Zambia’s 3-0 home win over Mozambique at Nchanga Stadium.
His club lies 10th on the table with only four games played.
