Government Through The Lusaka High Court STOPS The Post, Mobi Tv, Muvi Tv From Announcing Election Results As Heavy Armed Soldiers ‘Seal’ State House

The Lusaka High Court has granted an exparte injuction to restrain the Post Newspapers, Muvi Television, and Mobi International Limited from publishing and announcing results of the 2011 tripartite elections.
Lusaka High Court Judge Jane Kabuka says “it is hereby ordered and directed that the defendants whether by themselves, servants, agents or whomsoever be and are hereby restrained from printing, publishing, running or carrying speculative stories on the tripartite election results held on 20th September, 2011 and subsequent dates and further from printing, or publishing or announcing election results before official results have been made by the electoral commission of Zambia.”
Judge Kabuka has further ordered that “if you the within mentioned respondents whether by yourselves, servants, agent or otherwise howsoever disobey this order you shall be liable to contempt of court and shall therefore be committed to prison.”
The three private media institutions have also been restrained from announcing election results ahead of, and prior to the Electoral Commission of Zambia verification and announcement.
High Court Judge Kabuka has since set September 23, 2011 as date for the interparte hearing.
The injunction was filed by Attorney general Abyudi Shonga.
Meanwhile, State house has been sealed by heavy armed soldiers when Mr. Banda is on record urging other political parties taking part in the elections to accept the election results.
However, the Patriotic Front (PF) has since written to the European Union Election Observation Mission to intervene in the turn of events which they said may lead to civil strife if not brought under control.

What is this contemptible thing we are begining to hear that mmd has won?! My word i hope i ‘mishead’. Lead us not into temptations mambilima and your ‘corrupt’ crew (no need to deny the corruptness here). As you think of ways of satisfying yourselves bear in mind that even the very person protecting you behind with a gun is human and a zambian in need of change and bound to change their reasoning minds when stretched beyond their natural limits.

We dont want bloodshed in this country. All we want and have said through the ballot is change, peacefully and that not for selfish reasons. We are tired of being led by mediocre, unadvisable leaders hell-bent to enrich themselves! Zambia is for all zambians not just for a man, his teenage wife, a bunch of cubs/vultures, a sex crazy parliamentarian and an obsolete gray haired vigilante.No!

We pray there be no bloodshed and not to mention lives being lost but should there be any let it be required on all you that are scheming this. Just because your safety is guaranteed does not mean retribution will not catch up with you. The current international political scene is full of self explaining examples: mladic, gaddafi, mubarak to name but a few. The were giants infinitely untouchable than you but where are they now? Natural justice shall, and WILL ALWAYS prevail.

We urge all those that want to deny zambians their rightful call for change to think, and think twice. You may think zambians are docile but wait a second, who can understand what is in the heart of a man?

If mmd is to win let it win in a very transparent manner for all well meaning zambians to see, not in a wanner that smells of nothing but cheating. ‘A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a picture of silver’ so says the bible and so many zambians have floated such ‘words’ umpteenly to the powers that be.We say SAVE OUR LAND from destruction

If you people do not know the cost of peace try visitiing a refugee comp, you have enough of them in the country e.g Mayukwayukwa, Meheba to mention but a few and hear the sad srories that people have you might want to change your mind on unnecessary provocation of people and trying to see how far they can go.

The peace Zambians have seems to be taken forgranted, i say you do not have to do that. an elastic can be pulled to a certain limit. beyond that it cuts so please lets try and continue with the peace.

Zambians let us unite in these trying moments. Lets not fight each other, after all, us the ordinary poeple on the ground do not know the intentions of most of thses politicians we want to defend and put there to govern us. Lets us remember Ivory Coast where the desposed leader was found hiding in a bunker with his wife,family and friends.Meanwhile ordinary people including the innocent soldiers who were defending him died like chickens. This issue of results is simple all we need to to is get all the total votes per candidate from all constituencies from the people who were there either observing or monitoring the elections, and compare with what ECZ is announcing. if we find that surely there are discrepancies then we will have good reasons to ask UN to intervene for us. Where is Laurent Gbagbo? Where is Gaddaffi? Where is Mubarack? I beleave that all political parties have representatives at Mulungushi, and that these have results from their collegues on the ground. So if they are there,and if ECZ is also consulting all of these people to confirm before announcing the results then we shouldn’t have a problem.Me where i am i have a friend who even slept at the counting center and has confirmed what ECZ has announced. So if we take this approach we will come out a responsible nation for even our children future who some of us voted for their future. The fugires are there on the ground. so lets not be hondwinked into believing what is not there. God bless Zambia, and long live the ordinary Zambians who sweet day and night just to put food on the table for thier families. God is Kind.He will do something even if it takes time but he will intervene.
