Sata Challenged To Explain The Sale Of Finance Bank

The Federation of Free Trade Unions of Zambia (FFTUZ) has appealed to republican President Michael Sata to explain to the nation what transpired in the sale of Finance bank.

FFTUZ National Executive Secretary Lyson Mando says it is pleasing that President Sata has given back the bank to the rightful owners who are indigenous owners as workers will have their jobs secured.

Mr. Mando has however noted that it is not enough for the President to reverse the sale of the bank but that he should go a step further and explain what was noted during the research that was conducted.

Speaking with QFM, Mr. Mando says the people of Zambia do not just want to know the current status of the bank.

The FFTUZ national executive secretary says Finance bank has for a long time been a victim of political manipulation and wonders what exactly the cause is.

Mr. Mando says for the president to give back the bank to the rightful owners, it is an implication that he has information to believe that the owners of the bank were ill-treated.

For $ 5 mill… not much explaining to do its was naive of First Rand to think it was a clean above board deal. More pressing issues linger so we move on.

The reversal is welcome. However, we need more ‘meat’ to be added to finance bank ‘skeleton’. More over, it has just taken 3 days since an inquiry was started before H.E MCS gave the directive. Surely, he has more finance bank ‘meat’ in his hands. Shall we share it so that all of us are satisfied.

The bank was stolen from Dr Mathani. There is no logical explanation as to what transpired with the so called sale of FBZ. Even the purpoted buyers are crooks. It is they, the buyers, who need to explain to the nation as to how they bought our bank and what they bought from Rupiah and his crooked Fundanga. watch them carefully.
