Bailiffs ‘POUNCE’ On MMD Property As They Are Expected To Vacate Offices

Bailiffs pounced on the Movement for Multi party Democracy (MMD) on Wednesday morning to collect properties as the former ruling party owes National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) over K200 million.
A check by journalists in Lusaka found the Bailiff Officers grabbing property from the MMD Secretariat.
Masautso Banda, an officer belonging to the firm assigned to collect the former ruling party property disclosed that the goods will be sold at a national auction if the MMD does not pay the monies owed within 5days.
Banda further said the bailiffs acted upon a directive from NAPSA, who yesterday issued a 7 days ultimatum to the MMD demanding payment.
Meanwhile, MMD National Secretary Major Richard Kachingwe could not comment on the property taken by the bailiffs as he claimed he was yet to receive official notification of the seizure.
The MMD are expected to vacate offices too.
