Mr. Hichilema tells QFM news that it is important that the PF government sticks to the laws that are in place.
He says some of the decisions being made by the PF government raise a lot of questions when it comes to adhering to the laws of the land.
The UPND leader further adds that much as the UPND would want corruption to be fought effectively, it is important that the PF government sticks to the laws.
Mr. Hichilema claims that the dismissal of the Anti-corruption commission Director General Godfrey Kayukwa was not done in a lawful manner.
He says government should have set up a tribunal to deal with the matter before action could be taken.
Meanwhile Citizens Forum executive secretary Simon Kabanda says there is no need to condemn President Michael Sata on the changes he is making in the country.
Mr. Kabanda says what President Sata needs instead is support if the country is to get back on the right track.
Speaking to QFM, Mr. Kabanda notes that it had become clear during the previous MMD administration that most organizations and individuals were politically compromised thereby making it hard to act in the interest of citizens.
Mr. Kabanda says change in most of the Parastatal organizations was inevitable as they had thrown away their professionalism.
He says it is good that president Sata has given an assurance that he will not give cadres, public service positions, as was the case in the previous government.
Mr. Kabanda has since expressed optimism that the country will in the next few months see objective institutions.

Kayukwa was highly unprofessional. He was defending the corrupt instead of fighting them. Keeping him there for long was not going to be healthy. The President acted in a prudent manner. The action was in the best interest of the nation. HH is trying to play cheap politics as usual. You will never rule this country.Zambia is not Southern Province.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU DISCOVER THAT EVEN NECESSARY DOCUMENTATION FOR SUCH A TRANSACTION IS NOT AVAILABLE?
WOULD YOU WASTE ANY FURTHER TIME TO RETRIEVE SUCH A VITAL ASSET FROM CORRUPT HANDS?
AS SOON AS SUCH A DISCOVERY WAS UNEARTHED, THE PRESIDENT ACTED PROMPTLY TO RECOVER THE BANK (WHILE FURTHER now CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS MAY CONTINUE). COMMISSION OF ENQUIRY IS NO LONGER NECESSARY AS THE MATTER IS NOW MORE OF A POLICE CASE.
THIS IS ZAMBIAN BANK AND WE NEED TO FURTHER GROW AND FRUCTIFY.

There was no need for a tribunal ba HH. Read the Anti-Corruption Act No. 38 of 2010 Section 10 and if you understand the English very well you will learn that SATA broke no law.He actually acted in accordance with this section of the Act. Specifically read sub-section (3) of section 10. You will learn that the sentence starts with ‘If the President Considers……
So lets learn to read the law fully and not pretend to be geniuses when infact we dont fully understand the law.

Fake article.I also agree with some people saying this article was writen by HH.HH wanted RB to rig elections. He phoned banda to do anything so that Sata could be blocked.Banda has informtion. The tonga baby is the worst tribalist i’ve ever seen in Zambia. Here in eastern, we’ll not even waste a time to vote for a typical tonga tribalist.one guy from northern also said had they known that HH is a tribalist they would have been voting in thousands to defeat the small tribe of HH.We can’t allow such stupidity of tribalism to continue in zambia. This is why people are saying HH came into politics through tribalism. If some tribalists tongas want war let them start we are ready to defend our mother zambia.U can’t just say a tonga is not wining coz bembas and Ngonis don’t like tongas. How did we vote for Mazoka?I think HH should be very careful with such statements.Power angrey chaps can bring tribal war in Zambia.I’ve seen this in HH and some tongas. If the same stupidity continue in UPND it will take ages a tonga to be a president of zambia. To tell the truth Bembas Make 50% of zambian population then plus 25% of eaterns=75%.lambas are just like bembas too.Mkushi, kapiri, serenge, chitambo from central are brothers of bembas too.UPND should just campaign coz tribalism they want to bring will make them start tribal war coz people won’t vote for HH, hence the only option is to find rebels in southern.Already there are some rumours that lot that UPND is trying to find other tribes to support them of revolution but UPND is forgeting that they chased Lozis coz of tribalism of some tongas in UPND.

Ba Kabwe, you are right but eg ,it doesnt make sense to say that “in my opinion the left leg should be on the right and vice versa”.What an opinion!HH lacks objectivity and actually is not a politician. And i feel sorry 4 Upnd because they are lacking leadership. The guy is so weak that literary Upnd is sinking slowly.By the way the few more Mps HH got must not be construed as growth in this election. The guys who didnt want RB voted for HH out of not having better options.Growth of Upnd should have been judged especially from urban areas were people are more literate. So this ka guy is no going anywhere.I think guys tulemona! Most of us remember very well that Sata in 2001 was never liked by all over us but look where he is now,he spoke and ojectively critcized and now all is history!!!!!!!

people should wake up and realize that Sata needs to follow the rule of law, if this is delaying him with progress ,then let him change the constitution otherwise this will be moving us back and forth. At the end of the day, the positions being changed will be occupied by bootlickers knowing and realising that the next govt will replace them henceforth affecting the entire system. Please lets unite and call a wrong by its right name and that doesn’t mean we re saying the president should step down but all we hope for is a solid govt and a prosperous zambia!
