ZAWA Officers ‘Licking’ Villagers In Mpika Named And Exposed

Information reaching Tumfweko from Mpika district is that some named Zambia Wildlife Authority (ZAWA) officers have taken over reigns as Police officers at Kalonje railway station by conniving with a named police post inspector.
The Station or ZAWA camp in question is Kalonje railway station in Chief Mpumba’s Chiefdom of Mpika District.
Sources have since named the culprits as Mulenga Maxwell and Mr Simfukwe a ZAWA Station Officer in-charge.
The officers have connived with the inspector of police Mr katongo from TAZAMA Pump Station.
The source further narrated that an incident happened in Mpika kalonje area 72 km south of Mpika district where the area has no police post but has a ZAWA office.
“Its like these officers have taken the law into there own hands, at one time someone was robbed at the laybye in the village and the matter was reported to ZAWA office. ZAWA officers swang into action and managed to recover the stolen goods to the community’s surprise, the ZAWA officers decided never to surrender the property to the police instead the officers decided to share the items. As we talk now, the officers are using the recovered property in their homes,” said the source
In another incident when a Tanzanian truck carrying an assortment of electronic goods got involved in an accident ,the passers by and the village community helped themselves by looting the assortment of various electronic goods.
The community crime prevention unity compiled a list of the recovered items without ZAWA officers knowing. As the ZAWA officers usually do, they decided to share the items, when asked by community crime prevention unity that it was time to handover recoveries to the complainant, they were  rubbished by the officers named.
The named Officers have since resorted to boasting on how they will build castle houses soon.

The named officers have since threatened anyone trying to expose them with some gun shot.
Local residents have since called on relevant authoritative and investigative wings  to uproot the ‘anarchy’ caused by the named officers who have put the villagers in an ambush state filled with fear and sorrow.

I can feel the Holy Sprit is indeed over Zambia it is time for testimony, it is true every knee shall bow come on and tell us what is it that you have stolen. God will return everything the devil has stolen from us. We need the power from above to transform this nation.

Thank God we have a liberator H.E. M. Sata following the footsteps of Jesus Christ who came not to be served but to serve. The MMD culture of nchekeleko (corruption) is found in every gvnmt institution. I one day went to the Police Station, in the Officer-in-Charge’s Office, in order to have the copy of my NRC certified, the O.C. asked me to pay K5,000 for the job. I thought it was genuine, but to my supprise no receipt was issued. I then realized that the money was not going in the Gvnmt coffers but in his pocket. Shame! Fr. Sata continue to sweep! Thank you!
