RB Could Have Scooped Presidency With 20,000 Rigged Votes

Embattled Ex-President, Rupiah Banda was on the verge of declaring himself winner of the 20 September presidential poll with 20,000 rigged votes after realising he had lost the elections to Michael Sata’s Patriotic Front (PF), Tumfweko understands.
It was only the intervention of top advisors, electoral officials, founding republican President Dr. Kenneth Kaunda, and United States and European Union diplomats on 22 September that persuaded Banda not to subvert the results and stay in office.
US Ambassador Mark C. Storella warned Banda that if he did not respect the election results, he would only be able to maintain power by brute force, a Presidency source said.
A despondent Banda, faced with advice and warnings from so many different quarters, gave in and shortly afterwards publicly conceded defeat, the source added.
Banda learned on 21 September that the vote was going against him and summoned the top directors of the Zambia Intelligence and Security Services to ask them to help to reverse the result, State House sources said.
The security men apparently told Banda they could not help because it was too late. Intelligence chiefs had for months complained that Banda no longer listened to their advice.
Junior intel officers, we hear, helped to prevent ballot-stuffing, having heard Sata, a former police officer, promise to improve their welfare.
After the vote on 20 September, it became clear that the key factor against Banda had been the 1.2 million newly registered voters, some 90% of whom are young, unemployed or impoverished students. They are highly receptive to the charismatic Sata’s offer of ‘salvation to the laboured’.
RB’s family especially his sons were completely unprepared to lose the election. James Banda briefly ‘fled’ to South Africa fearing recriminations but soon returned.

When God says ‘Yes’ no one can say ‘No’ When he opens the door, no one can shut it. God opened the door for Sata and Banda failed to close it. Let’s give him praise.

He was a brain dead president with scarcely a smidgen of intelligence. I am very glad the vibrant youth kicked him out unceremoniously. Never again should we allow malcontents and clueless people in state house whose only interest is to enrich themselves and their children. Let him, his kids and MMD just do all of us a favor and vanish in oblivion! We don’t want such garbage to taint our sweet smelling environment.

my comment is on the “new” znbc. this institution needs serious rebranding bwana minister of info. we can t have the same faces who projected a negative image of abesu continue making announcements of whatever. find space for them somewhere in the backroom. we need fresh positive faces of uncontaminated persons to start reading us the news.

RB was so sure he was going to pull through using his dirty schemes. He is a very disappointed man. I hope we all learn a lesson from this experience, it pays to prepare for every contest, leakages or opportunities to rig will not always be available.

He surely did not see his downfall coming, shame.

Thank you to all the people who participated in making sure that rb’s plans failed to work. I say thank you to those who advised rb to accept defeat even to our young entl officers who blocked all leakages of rigging the man was really up to no good for Zambia. I now begin to doubt even his three year rule was there illegal the man lost he just rigged the elections. He is not even ashamed to mess up things like that the three yrs he was there was not his term it was Levy’s (MHSRIP). We cannot let things go scot free like this the law need to visit him to answer all these charges against him. Suppose he rigged and won can u imagine the blood our children were going to shed shame.

Good riddance for that bunch of Hooligans..RB had such a great apetite for power..it went to his head..we knew what they were planning at Charisma hotel, they even started preparing invitation cards..Even the by-election that saw him into office was rigged..I am sure those chaps at ECZ should be brought to answer for this…Rigging of elections is treasonous…I see many charges lined up..chimbokaela is waiting for RB!!!

We the MMD last won a genuine election in 1996. We stole Mazoka’s victory in 2001. HEMCS has actually been elected Zambia’s president 3 times begining 2006. We just dribbled him all the time.

Mr RB you are a good leader, the problem i see on you,you always fear your ministers and get wrong advise from them, and you even know that MMD is corrupt, why did not form your own Party after you stay 3years as republican President, like your friend Malawi President Bingu,it shamed to see people went to the polling station 20:00hrs to waiting to cast a vote following day around 06:00hrs,its means people are fade up with MMD party,so good bye MMD forever,we have now our good leader Mr Sata who don’t like to fear his ministers,i even advice other opposition leaders to learn mistakes from MMD,anyone who want to be elect as President of Zambia, must work fist as a councilor, second to win as MP,not just to a President.

when i warned you bloggers that rb is trying to rig elections, and will win by about 18,000 votes, no one took me seriously.
i even went a step further by revealing to you bloggers that mutharika is the country and that preparations are underway to install rb as the presido elect the following morning at 10:00hrs.
that is your rb. very comfused chap indeed.
anyway, thanks to kk and the diplomats.

Stand and sing of Zambia proud and free!Zambians you must Celebrate your hard earned victory the RBS were really not going to spare anyone thank God almighty for this Victory. Fr Frank Bwalya May God Give you the reward, we as Zambians have nothing to Give. RB, you shouldn’t have sent your son Andrew out of the country he is a real man and politician and really understand more, a man of the people Andrew Banda. It was wise to have just completed Mwanawasa’s term than to go through this horrible embarrassment with your business boys. Sorry its your turn to answer to president MC Sata.Beta cry again you cant defeat God. Listern!!!

“Uwawa tabula kabepesho” so goes the Bemba adage.Former President Banda is now licking his own boots. I KNOW THAT LOSING AN ELECTION IS SUCH A BITTER PILL TO SWALLOW AND IT CAN EASILY SEND SOMEONE INTO DEMENTIA AND STARTS TALKING THINGS PEOPLE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND. My humble advice to former president is this that you remain quiet before you provoke King Cobra to the extent that he will start to swing his venomous head on you.”Mwikala patalala mwine apatalika”

First and foremost, I salute all those who voted against RB and MMD. Well done! RB,his family and all his former Ministers who did not resign b4 2011 tripartite elections must be probed. These crooks were going to bring about untold bloodshed in Zambia.
No wonder you were fired THREE times by KK,
No wonder you stayed in state house for THREE years
No wonder you number THREE president after introducing multi-party system
RB for Rubbish Bin. May your corrupt mind rest in Chimbokaila together with your minions!

Big man, you’re finished my dear. VJ could’ve done the rigging for you but you shunned him before elections. Die for your deed RB! You were lucky enough to have a father who understands what was going on otherwise you could’ve been dead by now as people wanted change. Bye Babankulu…..
