REPUBLICAN President Michael Sata has expressed disappointment that he is a member of the African Race.
Receiving the credentials of Sudan’s Ambassador Designate to Zambia, Mohammed Isa Edam Balila, Mr. Sata said he is disappointed to be an African as Africans are so much divided.
“I am so disappointed to be an African. There are so many divisions among Africans. Armed conflicts and armed struggles are because of poverty. Unemployed people are easily used by greedy people to fan the conflicts,” he said.
Receiving credentials from Ambassador-designates to Zambia, from Angola, Sudan, South Korea, Finland and the Royal Kingdom of Norway.
President Michael Sata also announced that he has sent founder president Dr. Kenneth Kaunda to apologise on his behalf and on behalf of the country for the manner the MMD allegedly supported the rebel leader, Jonas Savimbi.
Receiving credentials from Angolan Ambassador designate, Ms Balbina Malheiros Dias Da Silva. Mr. Sata said he had already sent the first president Dr. Kaunda who is in Luanda.
“I am disappointed at the treacherous behaviour of the MMD government against our brothers in Angola,” he said.
Mr. Sata served the MMD government as a senior minister for 10 years.
And receiving credentials from South Korean Ambassador-designate to Zambia, Kwang-chul Hew, and Mr. Sata expressed disappointment that the South Korea moved its Zambian mission the country to Zimbabwe.
”There is need to open a mission in South Korea. Korea had one of the highest poverty levels at independence. Today they have got one of the strongest economies with a currency stronger than Japan,’’ he said.

Engines, The technology to seperate the oil into various hydrocarbons (petrol, diesel, etc) plain and simple. Its people like you who make the whole country not to develop. You quit even before you try. That is a bad spirit. It may be expensive, but the long term benefits far exceeds the initial capital outlay. I myslf I am a Chemical Engineer.

Its clear that most of those commenting here are so judgemental and dont even want to look at the context in which our president used his statement. He was just trying to make a tear (a point) and this is how passionate he feels about africa. He wants africa to be united and i am pretty sure he will contrbute to this. I trust him so much because the passion i have seen in, i have not seen in any previous president. What ever you may think of him, he is the people’s president and these ppl include YOU!!!
May our dear good Lord be with him as he rules his pple.

I see no point of criticizing, coz our God given president is not saying he shouldnt be born in africa, He is just disappoited especially in the way nations are divided. The president is just playing a win game here. As the Bembas say, ukupoka icinsenda ku nkoko kunanakilila, which simply means when you are harsh or tough, you cannot get what you need most from the other tough side.

Its not all about oil, people u ar forgeting that u ar buying cars and all sorts of things from distant countries and all u think of is Dar, Durban, Malawi and so forth. Dont u knw that Angola is just too close to this country and we kn benefit so much if we had good relationship with this country. To me i strongly feel its really a good move.

The problem with our president is that he has narrow understanding of things, whites have gone through conflicts to an extent of producing 2 world wars. I dont like this idea of having a president who does not know basic international history. Africans have never had a war to affect the whole world. For america to have the sort of democracy they have, they past through a number of things, its not like they have been living democratically all the way.

ITS TRUE there’s too much problems among Africans.
To be ashamed in this contest means he is agitated with the way Africans do things. It is the same thing which has made all Africa poor. How on earth can a Continent with almost all material needs at hand be so poor? It just does not add up. I too am Ashamed of being An African because l love Africa so much, and yet Africa is full of people who act senselessly

*****. He does not understand that the Europeans had more wars and that their countries are actually small tribal islands? Has he ever heard of the wars in the bolkans? Where is checoslovakia today? Armenians were throwing skelotons of Azabaijans over wall fences. Such narrow prostitution is indicative of a man whose father worked for Guy scot!

Forgive the man he is translating directly from his native tongue. I still think that as President he needs to watch what he says. He simply should not have said that.

Mwebene Zambia, it’s clear that as Africans we are busy killing each other more especially after elections. It was just direct translation from his mother tongue. Don’t just read, understand the words and then inteprete accordingly. Maybe I should also regret to be Zambian, because we fail to read ENGLISH and understand it well.

But I thought Dora also said something like, and I quote “you men can’t you come and touch my bums” what did you people say “she wants men to touch her and yet Dora meant something totally different from what she said. Now what is so different from what the President has said about his race. I am sure even these people writing about what the president said know that he said one thing and meant something totally different. It just shows just how shallow minded most of these bloggers can succumb to.

His Excellence has a point, you have just missed the English. His phrase means he is disapponted with the way we Africans are running our affairs and in the process impoverishing ourselves in the midst of abundant resources. It’s all about comprehension … mwaikata nomba?
