Livingstone Council Unearths Brothels Scam

Livingstone City Council has unearthed a scam, in which some lodges and rest houses in the city are operating as brothels. Council Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Sikanyika  made the disclosure to MUVI TV yesterday . Mr Sikanyika has since warned that the local authority will not exercise leniency against the culprits. Meanwhile, Mr Sikanyika says that the local authority has closed several illegal car washes in the tourist capital. He has stated that the closed car washes have poor sanitary conditions and they were of poor standard.

    I support the council’s move to close the brothels as the practice is against the teaching of Christ Jesus.

    Sanctification of an individual through contact with the divine(God,divine message,or holy object ie crucifix) can also result, to a certain extent, in the sanctification of the environment where an individual resides/works.In the same way, evil or demonic practices can eventually result in the ‘demonic posession’or ‘oppression’of particular individuals or places constantly exposed to these demonic practices.That is why it is important to bless new/old homes,offices, and other public places.Many spiritual sicknesses have been acquired just by coming into contact with a contaminated place/person or environment.Lord have mercy.Those lodges and rest houses need cleansing/rededication for the sake of innocent visitors.

    there are a lot of such places not only in Lstone. Lusaka has also and i think the Local Authorities are aware about them. its suprising to hear words like “uneathed”, when the issue they are talking about is well known to them. lets work and bring sanity to our Beautiful Zambia

    People let’s Not be emotional over this issue, How did the council differentiated the brothel from a normal hotel / lodge because illicit SEX happens in every lodging place, No one will ever come with a ULE ati I want a room for ***ing, everyone comes with humble request looking for accommodation whatever happens in there god knows, if not then let people go to lodges with MARRAGE CERTIFICATE as minimum entry Qualification for accommodation in Lodges Period!!!.

    Brothels? Thats indeed sad. Those places must be closed down. We cant and should not tolerate this. We are Africans and can not allow this kind of behavor. Lodges are okay but they should not be abused. If proved beyond reasonable doubt revoke their licences

    In as much as speaking one’s mind may be essential in communication,there is also what we call’mental reservation’/sanitation.What impact will my words have on the other or the surrounding?If my mind tells me to insult,and another inner voice is telling me not to, I must discern properly,using my God-given conscience, before speaking or taking an action.In the end, Iam fully responsible for my words/actions.Insults do not bear positive lasting fruits.Otherwise,Jesus, whilst hanging on the cross,would have insulted back.He had all the freedom to speak His mind.Lack of serious prayer in one’s life can have serious consequences:carelessness in speech and harmful actions.

    In matero all the guest houses next to club zone work as brothels. The rooms are ever full as the prostitutes actually live thier and they pay monthly rentals.

    Its a good job that the council did. I am however surprised the council was not aware of the goings on in that lodge so they unearthed it finally. We need to know that rubbish stuff happens in zambia including homosexuality but pple obviously will not come out because its societally unacceptable. Our job is to pray really hard for purity of our nation and pray that our president does not soften towards this abomination by allowing the so called human rights. We do have and respect human rights in zambia and we will always do but the issue of homosexuality should not be classed under human rights because it is simply a HUMAN WRONG.

    How can a human wrong be a human right? come on now

    NEVER IN LIFE THAT IT WILL BE OKAY. Sex supposed to be enjoyed not an hide and seek game, that Balansanganisha. Hotels and Lodges are places traveling people use when are they do not have relatives around the place visiting.

    @yoyo, if u watched R4M Extraordinary, none of those women said they were enjoying the sex, they were only after money. Most women have confided in someone as not able to enjoy sex or attain an orgasm no matter how much they try and they have resorted to faking it to pliz the man. Lets try to remove the cobwebs and clutter thats preventing sex enjoyment and orgasms in our women, it will help put the brothels and sleazy lodges out of business.

    The council should also fence the bush because last time I heard a young man died in Livingstone after being beaten by people who found him in the act with his girlfriend in the bush. House/home owners must be inspecting there houses regulary, and report to council!

    @Bulshit
    ‘Someone TELL ME! Do sex workers enjoy sex?’
    Am sure Bulshit you do work in order for you to survive(eat). You maybe employed or self-employed. Whichever of the two, at times you enjoy your work and at times you dont, because its one thing you do almost everyday or time. Because most sex worker are self employed, they are most likely to enjoy sex because they are their own bosses.
    I hope I ‘ve not confused you into thinking that its good to be a sex worker.

    While I applaud the council for paunching on the lodges and guest houses, I think we should also note that that is not the solution to the problem that causes men to go to brothels. It is like trying to cure the symptoms, and ignoring the actual cause of the problem. Believe me, lodges and guest houses will close, and yet elicit sex will continue in houses, bushes, momufolo, wherever… So let’s deal with the root cause (men); automatically brothels will run out of business and close by themselves without council intervention.
