ZRA Officer Shoots ‘Assistant To The Madam’, Commits SUICIDE

A ZRA customs officer on Saturday 11/12 committed suicide after shooting his girlfriend at Lake Safari Lodge in Siavonga.
The Chirundu border-stationed customs officer, identified as Boniface Sichilongo, shot himself in the head after shooting his girlfriend more than three times following a dispute.
A check at the scene found the deceased lying in a pool of blood on the floor of his room with a fresh gunshot wound on his forehead.
It is alleged that the couple got into a fight after the deceased suspected his girlfriend, identified as Linda Kaluba, a Kitwe resident, of having an affair with another man.
It is unclear how long the two had been in a relationship.
According to Lake Safari Lodge director Maurice Diamond, who also confirmed the incident, the duo checked in on Saturday afternoon.
‘What we know is that the duo came as a couple,’ Diamond said in an Interview.
But the phone conversation between police officers at the scene and the woman’s mother indicated that the duo were not married and just went to have ‘a great time’ at the lodge.
Guests who witnessed the woman taken to the hospital said she sustained severe gun-shot injuries.
One guest who opted anonymity said gunshots, which were mistaken for fireworks, were heard and what followed were a woman’s screams.
Diamond also confirmed the injuries on the woman.
‘The doctor says there were 14 gunshot injuries but we don’t know whether the number is for both entry and exit wounds,’ said Diamond.
Police at the scene refused to say something.
Siavonga District Hospital medical officer in charge Dr Pharron Mwaba said that the woman whose condition was stable, had been rushed to UTH in order to remove bullets that have perforated her intestines.
Sichilongo’s body is lying in the district mortuary awaiting postmortem and burial.

point of correction. The man who “supposedly drowned in siavonga with “girlfriend” didnt drown. He had evidence to a drug scam that involved alot of influential people so they killed him to make it seem like he just died.They were both killed. My guess about Sichilongo is the same coz “multiple gun shots doesnt make sense” and shooting himself also doesnt make sense. I wish we had something like FBI and CSI coz theres more to these deaths than meets the eye.If u knew this man you would know he wasnt capable of killing himself let alone another person.They even kill them at lodges to make it seem as if its a woman involved and to reduce suspicion if they were killed at home.Food for thought!

@nJengunje it is really sad that the man took his own life in such away. The saddest thing is that he died without Jesus the giver of peace. Where does he get the peace to rest in?
