‘HH Is MYOPIC And UPND Will SINK By End Of This YEAR’
WYLBUR Simuusa says people of Southern Province should remove the tribal tag by voting for change.
And former UPND officials said Hakainde Hichilema was a myopic leader who wanted to bulldoze his way.
During a rally at Kaleya grounds to drum up support for the Patriotic Front Magoye parliamentary candidate Eugene Munyama, Simuusa said Southern province should join the rest of the country in fulfilling the change they desired.
‘Me I am Simuusa from Choma but i won (elections) with a landslide in Nchanga. Let’s show the country that we’re tired of being in opposition. Don’t waste your vote on UPND and MMD; they’re not going anywhere,’ said Simuusa.
Former UPND National trustee Mundia Mundale said the party went into an alliance with the MMD without consulting the party.
‘Why does he (Hichilema) think he can decide on all matters alone? He pulled out of the pact with PF without consulting us and now they have gone to bed with MMD without consulting members,’ he said.
Cecilia Limwanya, a former UPND National women’s coordinator said she left the party due to its inconsistencies on national issues.
She said it was shameful that Hichilema who denounced MMD’s soft spot for corruption had teamed up with hypocrites.
‘How can a serious person partner with a party that maimed and killed our brothers and sisters in Mongu? MMD has blood on its hands, and these are the people UPND is working with! ‘ she remarked.
Former UPND chairman for livestock and fisheries Lawrence Nyambe said UPND woud sink by the end of this year.
He said the party leadership was divided after Hichilema dictated that they work with MMD.
‘People are not happy and more will be leaving; watch the space,’ he said.

HH is upnd, there will be another tonga party that will come and sprit the votes that will be the end of upnd. In PF given lubinga or kabimba will be the next president and u will see PF intact but upnd with any other tribe that will be the end of it. Now the all Zambia knows you

HH is presidential material, whether we like it or not (and I dont). I have not seen empirical evidence of tribalism on his part. He has supporters who are tribal and vote for him on tribal lines. Same with all party presidents in Zambia. But I dont think that is enough to accuse any of the presidents of tribalism. Whatever the case, let us stop this tribalism nonsense and be Zambians above anything else. Let us also assess our leaders on the basis of real issues, giving credit where due and constructive critism where warranted.

Mr Simuusa should not cheat himself that people voted for him on the copperbelt coz he was a better candidate,no no no. He stood on PF ticket. On the CB pipo voted for anything that stood on PF ticket. No matter what we are going to do Magoye is a UPND seat.
MMD is for grabs PF has taken some MPs from there and it will be unwise for UPND to distance itself from MMD. PF is in power and is at liberty to arrest the MMD guys they think comitted crimes instead of blaming UPND for deciding to work with MMD.

In for a rude shock, submissions are showing that the Lozis want seccesion. what makes you think the tongas may want to remain with Northern Rhodesia when they belonged to North western Rhodesia. western province + southern province can be richer than Botswana if left to run their own affairs. Wilbur Simuusa should first deal with the tribal tug of the people that are using him for window dressing. We have never seen such tribalistic appointments since independence and you think UPND will die. When you guys started we thought UPND will really die but after what we are seeing, UPND has been fueld up and PF will not win Magoye. Even Chief Nalubamba is now very quiet because he cant believe what is happening.

I am working with a Tonga guy on my project. This is the last time I am doing so. Every single piece of advice is ignored. Despite being younger, less qualified and less experienced he believes he knows better. Everyone else keeps telling him, why don’t you involve that friend of yours? Alas to no avail. When there where some riots in the run up to the Election results he refused to go and meet a Client in a Town where there was no reported incident. When PF where declared Presidential Winners he refused to acknowledge the result even though most Bars around his house had played loud “Don’t Kubeba” celebratory music all night! I said to him, read Today’s Paper and see who was declared the winner!
I have a lot of Tonga friends and relatives. Most are decent folks who you enjoy to talk to them and share life’s ups and downs with. But this one guy has made me believe these stories about Tonga’s being difficult and it makes me Sad that in 2011, our colleagues can’t move on and join the new adventure in Politics. MMD is gone, UPND is probably next!
This guy has cost me a very Lucrative Project because of his refusal to see sense. If HH, exhibits any such “Chumbu Munshololya” tendencies then UPND is destined for the junk yard. RIP.
