PF SCOOPS Chongwe, Nakonde Seats As UPND Gets MAGOYE

THE Ruling Patriotic Front (PF) has scooped the parliamentary by-elections seats in Chongwe and Nakonde.
Sylvia Masebo bounces back as MP for Chongwe after losing to her cousin in MMD’s Japhen Mwakalombe in 9/20 general elections who later resigned to take up a position in foreign service .
UPND has scooped Magoye constituency in southern province as expected.
The elections could not take place in Magoye and Nakonde on 9/20 following the death of two aspirants from then opposition PF and NMP.
Agents who are at the totaling centres across the three constituencies have already briefed Tumfweko about the results.

UPDATE:

Chongwe

PF Candidate Sylvia MASEBO Polled eight thousand six-hundred and seven (8607) while Adrian Bauleni of the UPND/MMD pact polled three thousand nine hundred and two (3902).

David Chulu of FDD got one-hundred and seventeen (117) votes while UNIP’s Johannes Mativenga got one hundred and twenty three (123) votes.

The total number of registered voters in Chongwe is 52,166 and only 12,901 voters managed to cast their votes, which is only twenty-five percent of the registered voters.

Nakonde:

PF candidate Abel Sichula polled 8,841 votes and was seconded by the MMD candidate George Sinkala who managed to secure 2,116 votes.

HH you must have stopped breastfeeding the day you were born and are serious lacking some vitamins and I guess you must be Tonga. Now prove this to me, who won the Nakonde by-election,are they not hailing from that same area (Namwanga? who has won the Chongwe by-election, are they not hailing from that same area (Soli)? and what is wrong with the Tongas voting for a fellow Tonga? did you expect them to vote for a Bemba? Be reasonable all of you who are calling the Tongas tribal because even you yourselves are being tribal, that is why you are yapping. No Tonga goes to bed with a Cow, otherwise all tribes who have cows do the same, is that what you are saying? So the next time you walk into a butchery (if at all you can even afford to walk into a butchery?) start thinking that you are going to eat a piece of a cow married to a Tonga or whoever. Lets be fair as we are debating here and not start insulting Tongas as if they created themselves. No one in the world chose to be who they are? No one, not even the whites in the countries where you have gone to find refuge where you are a treated as second class citizens. Wake up and face reality, we can live together but that does not mean others have to be looked down upon like trash because of who they are. Thank God that you are who are you and the Tongas also will continue to thank God for creating them Tongas and actualy bravo to the Tongas for being consistent with their beliefs and support. Talk for all you want unti your mouths run dry. Tongas are principled just like Lozis, Nsengas, Bembas, Namwangas, Solis etc. One Zambia One Nation.

There is nothing wrong with the Tongas. But there is something wrong with all of you who are condemning them. HH you are sick!! and you are the worst tribalist ever. Check yourselves and you will find that those of you saying the tongas are tribalists are tribalists yourselves. Did you care to analyse the voting pattern of the September 20 elections. Check, do not just condemn. MCS received more votes in Southern Province than HH received in Luapula and Northern put together! You are just Haters and you will all go to hell. Leave the tongas alone. Mwaba ukutuka sele. Thats all you are good at. I am not tonga by the way but I just dont like your repeated attacks on them.

In town where of us whether you like it or not from all corners of Zambia voted for the change, for PF. So why are you insulting each other like this!!! Some of you even insulting in the language which is not yours to make others bad!!! I think LT should open a corner for loners, where they can be insulting each other like they want. I think some people on this blog are frustrated and loners who only find time to let out their steam and frustration. Have your corner please!!!!!!!!!! Let constructive criticism and minds discuss real issues here.

PF won in Nakonde (Bemba speaking) and UPND won in Magoye (Tonga speaking). That was expected. Did u ever dream that UPND would win in Nakonde? The whole thing is tribal. There is nothing like tongas are tribal and bembas are not or vis versa -We are all tribal.
The Solis in Chongwe are a very small tribe and will therefore go to bed with anyone they feel will give them some favours – MMD on 20/09/2011 because they were in power and now PF – simple…
The Tonga and Bemba Blocks will remain standing and it will now remain upto these blocks to start attracting other tribes to their stables.
And yes a Tonga will become President some day. I can assure u that they will come a time when Bembas will be discounted and no one will want to hear this word – Bemba. This is what I call NATURAL CIRCLE – (my opinion).

CDF is a statutory provision, all constituencies get, regardless of political orientation. SP has 3rd biggest economy after CB and Lusaka, so all its tax payers will deserve their tax money spent in their land. Its a poor province like all of Zambia, and the ZAMBIANS in that important of that country vote who they feel is good enough. It would hurt all Tongas if they continue to be insulted for exercising their right of conscience, expression and association by consisitently voting UPND. Allegations of Tribalism, both actual and perceived may be there, but its not going to help Zambia if allow our Tonga friends to isolate themselves without reaching out in love and care. In SP, all our electricity and coal is produced, 90% of our sugar, a third of our beef, a quarter of our Maize, close to half of our tourism revenue, besides being the gateway to SADC through Livingstone and Kazungula. One Zambia. One Nation.

If PF won in Magoye and also in Nakonde, Us BEMBAs would have been the happiest, why ? Coz when we dominate some aspect of life, to us its not tribalism, BUT if the UPND won in Magoye (Like the case is) we cry TRIBALISM ! Why are we like this bane. Lets accept that this so-called ‘tribalism’ by Tongas and Lozis etc is just an self-defensive mechanism that they have embarked on to avert sefish BEMBA DOMINANCE. We are to blame, elyo tufwile twachinja ukuitemwa bane. Congrats UPND and PF for your respective wins. Life goes on

All of us are tribal in a way, ITS NATURAL TO SUPPORT ONE OF YOUR OWN. STOP victimising LOZIs and TONGAs. They could even be better than other tribes. I wonder why when a LOZI or TONGA comes out, it becomes tribalism, and not the other way round. Why have n’t the people in Nakonde or Choongwe voted for UPND? During the 20th Sept. elections, I thought RB was headed for victory when I was seeinG results from Eastern Province. This LOZI or TONGA tribalism is just PSYCHOLOGICAL – CHECK YOURSELVES YOU WHO CALL THEM TRIBAL, YOU COULD BE THE ONES WITH A PROBLEM. MCS is not tribalistic, he’s just picking from the voted Non Tonga MPs. U tongas refused to vote for PF felow Tongas so that they could be given Cabinet potifolios. ‘munda nimuchabu’ doesn’t only apply to a family set up… even mu Zambia nimuchabu. if Zambia was a family by two parrents (husband and wife) the two would have too much trouble parrenting delinquents like Chilbit, Zooom, Vumani and HH. the good son One Zambia One Nation tries to put one brother in line like the parrents would, only to have three more delinquents in the wrong footing like HH himself. Zambia nga ali mufyashi wesu imwe nga kale amisambamo. its good to have people who will oppose even for no reason, such will always be there to make that noise and kill that silence, make this world alitle more lively. you’v always been pardoned delinquent brothers, but try to be good boys otherwise dady won’t buy you xmass present.

    Good morning Zambia,

Please let us not insult the tongas because of their voting. Zambians, its now time to respect and love one another.

They only voted candidates of their choice as individuals according to their preferences and that should be respected because it is their right to vote leaders of the choice as zambians.

All of us making comments here voted for leaders of our choice and no one insulted us but our choice was respected.I never heard any tonga insult because we voted for someone from another tribe no! but why should they be treated like this.

These are good and humble people, if anyone wants them to vote for a particular candidate the best to do is to convince them with good campaign as opposed to insulting them.

There is always room for improvement, those insulting this innocent tribe just appologise. you will loose nothing because this is the time i feel we should be united as a country than ever before.

    GOD BLESS US ALL

    GOD BLESS OUR LAND.

I THOT ZAMBIA WAS A DEMOCRACY!!! NO NEED TO INSULT THE PEOPLE OF NAKONDE, CHONGWE OR MAGOYE.

IF U RESPECT THEM, ACCEPT THEIR CHOICE AND MOVE ON.
BEFORE YOU ACCUSE ONE OF BEING TRIBALIST, CHECK YOUYSELF FIRST.

IT’S A SHAME HOW SOME PEOPLE ADOPT ‘A HOLIER THAN THOU ATTITUDE’ ON TRIBAL AFFILIATIONS.
