SATA’s PRESIDENTIAL Security PANIC As He REFUSES To Use Vehicle Organized For Him, OPTS To Use A BUS

PRESIDENTIAL Security personnel Saturday 12/3 panicked at Harry Mwaanga Nkhumbula International Airport in Livingstone when republican President Michael Sata refused to use the vehicle that was organized for him.
President Sata was shown the vehicle he was to use on his private visit to the tourist capital but refused.
Southern Province Deputy Permanent Secretary, Alfred Chiingi then showed the President another vehicle which he also refused to jump on.
Mr Sata later opted to use a minibus that was part of the motorcade.
The President was in Livingstone for a private visit and had closed door talks with Zimbabwean Leader, Robert Mugabe at Zambezi Sun Hotel.

Why should this man continue making the job of these poor souls(security) so difficult. They’ll be the first ones to be blamed should anything happen. Indeed it must be a nightmare for these guys. He has no right to be compromising his security like that pliz twapapata.

Sata never seize to amaze me. The man is just unpredictable with his attitude and behaviour. We understand his concern but he must respect the work of those employed to protect the presidency. It is very dangerous for the president to be behaving in this manner. The security officers are having difficulty time working with this man because he does not listen to anyone. I think the president must start adhering to the security that surround the presidency. He should not take things too personal!

Its interesting, the people who hate sata so much are today discussing and appearing to suddenly care about his safety. Such nonsense. Maybe they know more than we do, that sata has landed in Tongaland were they are still bitter and are capable of killing him.

Don’t fall for these cheap propaganda tricks.
Read how the PF Tabloid aka the post, has dramatised the issue. They claim he sat in a public minibus whereas it was his own private luxury minibus! They made it look like he sat with ordinary Zambians, whereas he was on a private holiday with his own clan using taxpayers money.
More money in our pockets, my foot! The SATA clan are bent on making the most of their short stay in office.

He is his own man, unlike the past presidents who wanted to be worshped and make sure they amassed billions before leaving statehouse. Mr. Sata has started well matching campaign promisses with deeds. So all he is saying is that instead of wasting bilion’s of the goverment’s meagre resources on his security, that money cay go to pay civil servants or buy medicines in hospitals or go towards education. This time you made the right choice Zambia. Let’s hope such wisdom and feeling for the pople will be consistent throughout his two terms in office.

advice to HECMS, he shud not think individually, he is now an institution, security is very important for him, he shud let the security assigned to protect him do their work. dont take the peace we have in zambia for granted. we love u mr president and bravo on the fight against corruption.

Ba Kabezo, are u sure u want to start this? Isnt it obvious that southerners came out of these elections looking more ****** than the mmd? (rememba the pact), deceiving yourselves about yo popularity wen every corner of this country pipo cant stand u. Isnt it obvious that tongas are the ones posting bllshit about sata on this website. Arent they the ones that cant wait for sata to fail (or preferably die)? And u think this wil translate to votes 4 hh. Believe me, i , a soli man, can not vote 4 a tonga. The tonga candidate maybe good but the behaviour of his pipo i cant take. I worked 4 anglo-american under mazoka. Andy was a good man, but his pipo there turned the place into ingombe ilede. And there were thousands of them. If one does something clearly wrong, they wud all close ranks and support the culprit. As a proffessional i could not stand the environment.

Mr. President, the behavior of refusing the security wing to give you the protection, is not a good one. The constitution of Zambia allows you to be protected at all costs. It is not the waste of money as you may think. You are the head of the state and hence entitled to be protected 24/7. If you don’t want the protection from the security wings, eliminate them completely rather than paying them for not doing what they were employed for. The second reason you need protection is the fight against corruption that you have launched. There many enemies out there who have stolen billions of dollars. These people are your enemies Zambia want to protect you from. You have one life and don’t take things that simple and the money you want to protect will just remain. We love you and please take my advice seriously.

People should understand that when someone is President he becomes state property and when you are state property the security detail is not up to you. Its up to those employed to protect you.

Simplicity and humility!!… mark of good leadership. The Ethopian President rides a bicycle in town all by himself.. What more in zambia where we are not at war. God bless Zambia with such brilliance… it says alot about the man we have in state house.

  44. Rent-a-Humble Presido

    December 5, 2011 at 9:03 am

While we aware that a state president is state property and requires optimum state security, it is just humbling that MCS can opt for simpler state security levels. In Bots (I could be wrong though!) there is more security when diamonds are being transported than when a president is moving about.
A good leader shud not insulate him/herself from pipo with too much security and a good leader shud not expose him/herself to careless security levels. Balance the two, and you will stand out!

  45. One Zambia One Nation

    December 5, 2011 at 9:38 am

Sunta Sunkutu, look here, the issue is not about Tongas hating the Presido, the issue is on security of the Presido who is a Presido for all Zambians regardless of where one hails from. Please get it that not all Tongas voted for HH, a good number of these people voted for PF and MMD and can you prove that Tongas hate the President just because they did not vote for him? You worked under Mazoka and that he was a great man, good to hear, remember that UPND did not start with HH, nor will it end with him, someone somewhere will come at God’s appointed time to lead UPND. Just like PF, don’t tell me that PF will only be there as long as the President is alive, no there are others who will be able to lead PF even after he has retired. Let’s not be personal here, we are talking about issues of security for the President of Zambia and no one should point a finger at others saying they hate him, no that is not correct. Yes all of us have enemies like it or not. But for someone on this fora to say the Tongas hate him that is pure absurd. You the ones talking about that are the very ones who hate the Presido. I love and respect the head of state and would support him for as long as he is there because he was rightly voted by the majority of the Zambians. Peace to all democratic and peace loving Zambians. One Zambia One Nation. You left Anglo-American of your own free will, actually it could be you failed to perform and don’t you go blaming your failures on Tongas.
