THE ZAMBIA Under-20 National football team has gone top of the Group C at the Cosafa Youth Championships in Botswana after beating Mauritius 4-0 Sunday 12/4 evening in Molepolole, Botswana.
The defending champions were inspired by a brace scored by Nkana’s teenage striker Reynold ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba in the 31st and 46th minutes.
Red Arrows midfielder Shadreck Malambo added the third goal in the 68th minute.
Nkana striker Evans Kangwa scored Zambia’s fourth of the game and his third goal of the tournament in the 79th minute.
Zambia have 4 points from two games, level with leaders South Africa who drew 1-1 with 3rd placed Tanzania in the earlier kickoff at the same venue.
Only goal difference separates the three teams on four points each from two games placed.
This win against Mauritius in the COSAFA U20 see Zambia topping group C with the same points as South Africa but Zambia are on top because South Africa drew 1-1 to Tanzania and Zambia drew 3-3 with them.
A draw will see Zambia through but the Football Association of Zambia -FAZ-are hoping to beat South Africa on Tuesday at 14h00.
The game between Zambia and South Africa will be televised on pay channel Supersport.

Kakakaka, these boys are not called chipolopolo. The U20 I suggest should be be called either KAPOLOPOLO or TUPOLOPOLO. There is no way U can be calling the senior team the same name as the U20s. Take Bafana Bafana/Amajita of RSA as an example. Anyway congrats boys

I’am an ardent follower of Reynold Kampamba Aka SATE SATE and Kangwa the young lads of their intelligence is so amazing i hope their talent will be natured. sate sate is a small version of the late Legendary Alex Chola who can play in many positions in front. His skill on the ball is amazing i have had the opportunity to talk to these boys and encourage them. They are boys we need to protect from the vultures who are watching to snap them and spoil their flagging careers. for those who have not seen sata sate in action watch for this new darling of a talent. Good luck my boys and stay focussed.
