POLICE OFFICERS Turn Into ‘Thieves’, Steal U$38,000 As LIATO Questions Where THE OTHER K6.5 Billion Went
TWO Suspected Robbers have accused Police officers of stealing more than US$ 38,000 from them.
One of the suspects, Augustine Mbale complained that some police officers who searched his house in Matero East got away with the money, a Toyota Hilux, a 42 inch television set and two suits.
Mbale named some of the officers involved as inspector Sibale, detective inspector Kangwa, Kalonga, Chanda and Mwendo.
Another suspect, Clement Sakala has accused the named officers of obtaining Four Million Kwacha from him on pretext that they would grant him police bond.
The two suspects made the revelation before Lusaka resident magistrate, Kenneth Mulife who has since ordered the arresting officer in the matter from Emmasdale police station a detective Inspector, Kangwa to appear in court on December 21 2011 to answer to the allegations.
The two suspects are among a gang of six suspected armed robbers appearing in court on charges of aggravated robbery involving motor vehicles and property worth millions of kwacha.
The six are alleged to have between May 15 and June 16 2011 whilst armed with AK 47 rifles and a pistol stole a Toyota Corolla, K84 Million worth of assorted airtime, 2G-Tide cell phones and K30 Million cash.

MEANWHILE, Liato’s scandal has taken a new twist with revelations coming through that the K2.1 Billion ‘cash harvest’ was not the initial money recovered by police but K8.6 billion.
Police IG Dr Malama has been challenged to explain where the K6.5 billion of the K8.6 billion they dug out at his Farm went.
Liato wanted to lodge this complaint to the Police but they told him to wait until the other money is found.
Liato now claims that he buried K8.6 billion but they just took 2.1 billion with a difference of K6.5 billion allegdly went missing.
This turn of events may create some embarassment soon.

Guys, chi liato’s had sensors and I believe had CCTV in the premises. So it becomes simple to replay what transpired. His own technology will arrest him. They should not just spend time to put him behind bars.

Mr. Liato can you prove to the Nation the money you buried was K8.6 Billion. How many safes were found and how much did each safe contain. Where there enough safes on site for K8.6 Billion. If this is a lie, you surely entangle yourself. By the way ZRA is interested in this money, the more the amount the more the interest. Careful!!!

Maybe someone’s son who used to sell dogs and sell liqour used part of it to suddenly purchase vehicles worth ZMK1.8bn in just 60 days

Liato is trying to shift the heat to the Police, he knows he has no way out of this, what proof is there that Police got away with 6.5b, how many law enforcement officers were there? how did they quickly agree to run off with 6.5b? Liato is now playing games with Zambians, if indeed he buried 8.6b, then where did he get all this money? Why did he bury it? is he admitting then that he is a thief?

The police should finish the investigations fast so that this thief can be locked up. Just from the the pot- belly you can tell that the man is greedy.Taking K8.6 billion out of circulation is not a joke, it is greediness at its max.
