THE IMMEDIATE PAST Zambia Aiforce-ZAF-Commander in the MMD Rupiah Banda adminstration Lieutanant General Andrew Sakala has been caught by his wife at a girlfriends house in Lusaka’s Ngombe compound.
Lt Gen Sakala whose extra-marital affair was discovered on Thursday, faces possible arrest for allegedly threatening to shoot his wife Nesta Mambo, 46, after she discovered his infidelity.
Lt General Sakala who handed over instruments of power to his successor three days ago and even thanked his wife for her support, had difficulties to stop a fight that ensued between his wife and his 26 year old mistress Sandra Mukoma.
This happened in full view of neighbours and onlookers on Thursday night.
According to eye witneses, Lt Gen Sakala, who is in his 60s, tried to chase his wife from the girlfriends house but his wife resisted, vowing not leave without him.
The witnesses said a fight erupted between Mrs Sakala and Sandra and in the process the mistress allegedly cut Mrs Sakala’s wrist with a broken bottle.
General Sakala had difficulties resolving visible altercations between the two warring parties.
Mrs Sakala vowed not to sit idle and see her husband’s pension money being spent on a girlfriend saying they have gone through alot and come a long way ever since they were children.
But Lt Gen Sakala told his wife that she was wasting her time and that he would not go with her to their matrimonial house in Chilanga’s Longridge area. And that he wondered how his wife found himself in Ngombe from Chilanga.
Mrs Sakala told her husband that she learnt about his whereabouts while she was at a salon in Northmead.
Mrs Sakala threatened to disclose the former commanders corrupt activities to Presidennt Sata.
Police sources disclosed that Sakala lied his wife that he had gone to Ndola and yet he was in Ngombe.

People dont talk about what you dont know! Mrs Sakala maybe the second wife but she has doen a lot for that ungreatiful man.They divoeced with the First wife beacause of udultery.The woman had a boyfriend and the General has nothing to do with her.Dont condemn Nesta when you are not privy to the reasons why he divorced his 1st wife.That 26year old Sandra lives in Ngombe right do you mean to tell me that there are no men Who are agemates to the General?Why go out with him? Mrs Sakala is just paying for what she did to the first wife. Gen Sakala is just a womaniser because he used to go out with my friends elder sister and she is now the late. Mrs Sakala was happy to grab that Sakala man from her best friend and infact she was just introduce to the first wife by her friend and then pretended to be her best friend and later grabbed that man away from her. The children tried to reason with the dad why marry some who was their mum’s best friend apparently Sakala got up set with the children and chased them away from his home.
