ZAMBIA Shall Remain An INLAND On HOMOSEXUALITY

Recently, homosexuality has been an issue in most developed countries and the head of state in these countries are in dilemma whether to legalize homosexuality or NOT. However, some countries have already legalized it. Besides, the terrifying news is where US senate approves bill to legalize human having sex with animals.
Now we hear this issue of homosexuality echoing in African countries.
Zambia shall remain an inland on the issue of homosexuality. As long as Zambia remains a Christian nation it shall remain faithful to its Christian doctrine. Therefore, the sacrite scriptures shall remain the bases and guide line of our human rights. “I shall rule under the ten commands”; said our president Mr. Sata, a week after his victory of 20/08/11.
We shall stick to our heritage (Christian values) and never shall pass a bill in our parliament to legalize homosexuality. We have lost a lot in our culture due to the so called cultural-globalization but we shall not afford to lose even our own human dignity. A man (Zambian) should not lose his original dignity in the name of human rights by reducing himself to an animal. I don’t want to comment on the United States (US) senate approve of human having sex with animals but I would like to remind every Zambian to stick to their heritage. Zambia has always been a religious nation and we have lived up to those values. Therefore, for Zambians, religion and politics co-exist and we cannot detach these Specifically with regard to Christianity, it was not Dr. FTJ Chiluba (RIP) who made Christianity the religion for Zambia but it was noted even before our independence day. We en-masse adopted the Christian religion and by Christian values shall our nation be guided.
We all know that religion is
personal decision but we
Zambians have en-masse
Christianity and faith is what
has remained personal. Hence,
every investor that comes in
Zambia regardless of his religion
affiliation should know that they
shall not be discriminated but
they should respect our rules.
NB; what shall stop United
States senate to allow human to
marry animal, if man is legally in
sexual union with animals?

When I first read about this foolish foolish man senate, I said God what is happening? I thought I wasn’t reading correctly. But Anyway, we need not to worry but rejoice because Christ is just about to come. And all this human stupidity together with them that practice it will be cast in the lake burning with sulphur. Lord Jesus only you can put an end to this our foolishness.

ba Martin – get your facts right. No one is asking Zambia to legalize homosexuality. All we are asking is for Zambia to practice its Christian values – i.e. do not persecute people for being gay/lesbian – chapwa!

As a christian nation, adultery is not legal, it is un-Christian. yet it is rampant and out of control in Christian Zambia – people are not persecuted for it.

So let adulterers be adulterers, don’t kill them. In the same way, let the gays be gay, don’t kill them either – those are Christian values right?

Tjk – when God created man and woman, they were meant to be together a one couple. God did not create Ada, Eve and Lucy. My point is, ppl are not killed for adultery (yet is it un-Christian and rampant in zambia). No one has asked for adultery to be legalised.

Similarly, no one has asked for homosexuality to be legalised. Do not mis-interpret things. All we are asking is do not perspecute gays – because they exist (as do adulterers) – and they will always exist.

It is not long ago that the very same Christians were persecuted? And here we are as Christians advocating for the persecution of humans who have always been like this 9even in jesus’ days there were gays – did jesusu call for them to be killed). Don’t pretend to be holier than thou and don’t abuse Christianity by using to advocate for the killing of fellow humans!

The so called most civilised countries are in forefront promoting babaric behaviour in the name of human rights. If this was pioneered by africans then, they are regarded as primitive.but to them its a new twist and new name.No zambian shall reduce themselves to an animal behaviour. That is incest taboo…we will not toralet. This is absolutelty nonsence to hear .Dont even bring this to our ears..babaric world.

I agree with u Janet,God alone will judge each and every individual according to what they were doing on earth….We have gay people in Zambia and that a fact we should live with, legalizing it is what i am also against but letting them live their lives should not be overlooked.

Love covers all the wicked things,if learn to love ourselves in Zambia then we should be rest assured that we are going to elevate our country to greater heights, there is just too much negativity in Zambia,we dont support each other.

Bm – if that is the case, then the devil rules Zambia because un-Christian things such as adultery, child abuse and fornication have always been rampant. Then even in jesus’ days the devil was there because there were gays in jesus’ days – did he call for them to be killed? NO! So who are we as mere humans to call for fellow humans to be killed/jailed/persecuted because of being gay! Hypocrites! It might well be that the same gays who you are now persecuting might enter heaven before all of you fake Christians!

Kabezo – I am very much heterosexual, but it just irritates the hell out of me when ppl use Christianity to justify foolishness. No one seems to address my questions – why are we advocating to persecute Gays when adulterers are not being persecuted – both acts are un-Christian. No one seems to want to address that issue – why? because you know deep down in your heart you are being un-reasonable.

I know it is hard to accept in Africa right now, but we should not make the same mistake we made when HIV first came about in Africa. We denied it existed and look at the consequences. let us just accept that some ppl are gay and get over it – no one is asking for homosexuality to be legalised – let us get our facts right in the first instance!

Ba Martin Mwango muleke ubufi. Zambia has NOT always been a Christian nation. During Kaunda’s reign Zambia was a secular state. It was FJT who used his prerogative to declare Zambia a Christian Nation. Mwanawasa and RB repeated the same declaration. I haven’t heard any such declaration from Sata so far. Has anyone? By the way he hasn’t undeclared it either.

Thieving is rampant in Zambia – Christian value
Homosexuality has been in Zambia a long time and it is there to stay Island or no Island – they people who don’t want it in the open are the ones who are engaged in this practice. Most men in Zambia 60% Zambia men are in bisexual relationships – surprised? I am not.
Police officers rape men and boys in prisons. Open your eyes and stop reading the Bible – look at what is going on around you

people of God, If God created man in His own image, I personally disagree with the excuses people who are homosexual give. There is no justification to their claims that they were born that way, instead it is the devil trying all his tricks to make people believe that homosexuality is normal. The devil knows that he has limited time, he has already invaded western world and now his last mission is to corrupt the developing countries in the name of human rights and foreign policies from donor countries.
Zambians lets be vigilant, the devil is at work.Homosexuality is a demon!!

It is not surprising to legalise what man of wisdom, as God created him, regards as rubbish and abominable. How can a person endowed with 7 senses become surpassed in thinking by an animal. Never shall a male dog mate with another male dog, and vise-versa for the opposite sex. This is how God planned for his creatures. I said, “surprising” because prophets clearly stated that in later times people will speak and act to deceive many, they will be teachers of the devil or Satan (1 Tim. 4: 1-3). And 2 Timothy reveals the whole truth about these ills. Yes, people are free to do what they want, but let it be in their secret corners, knowing that God condemns their acts and He will punish them as he did even for his chosen people, Israel, and other nations.
Please read the Bible and you’ll be a person of integrity: Leviticus 18: 23, Lev. 20: 15-16. And the Book of Revelation (chap. 22, verse 11) says, “Let those who don’t have God’s approval go without it, and let filthy people continue to be filthy. Let those who have God’s approval continue to have it, and let holy people continue to be holy.”

Very interesting debate! One imporatnt quote from Hilary Clinton as far as defending gay rights was that these are ”human rights”. Wont i be crucified on this forum if i said adultery is ”a human right” for the perpetrator e.g. myself in Ng’ombe township last weekend.

Janet C, in as much as we accept that both acts are anti chritian, the point is that when you are found with someones wife what happens? you will be procecuted. adultery is done in secrecy and let also gays and lesbians do it in secret. have ever herd that a person is killed or brutally beaten for adultery. lets be realistic this thing of gayism or lesbianism is a total bushit and should not be condoned.

  42. janet c

    December 13, 2011 at 4:07 pm

Thanks for the feedback. The reality is this: gays have always existed in zambia, currently exist and always will exist. So the only thing we need to do is to respect people’s sexual orientation. In fact I am glad to see that adulterers are now being exposed in the media – it won’t stop the trend, but at least it will discourage some (even if a very very small number) from committing it. Africa nees to get over the whole gay thing – they are human just like you and me and deserve to have their human rights respected.

remember that Christians were once persecuted too, as were HIV positive ppl – so the time will come for Africa to get over the whole gay thing. In fact it is even healthy we are having this debate in the open – generations past the issue could even be discussed, let alone mentioned.

Zambian, I paused that question because of claims that people have been making that the law on homosexuality can’t be adopted in Zambia, because it claims to be a christian nation. It is not biblical to terminate the life of an unborn child either. I for one would not be surprised to see such a law being adopted here in Zambia.

Terrible mistake to allow gays not be arrested.Wait a minute,God was so enraged by this behavior in Sodom. The gays wanted to shag angels despite being offered virgins.Lets call a spade a spade.AIDS first appeared in gay communities in San Fransisco. It was called the gay disease before it spread to heterosexuals. This report about senators vetoing bestiality is a lie.Have asked around and nobody knows about it.There more important issues in the US trending high than that. Not all Americans like gay people.Remember the don’t ask don’t tell in the Us army.If you tell, you will face the worst abuse from your friends.Homosexuality is just utter lustiness.Politicians are always looking for votes. An average American has never and will never support homosexuality rights. Now why is it that Americans call the Uk gayland?
