ZIMBABWE’s Highlanders FC To APPOINT Zambia’s KELVIN KAINDU As HEAD COACH

ZIMBABWE’s HIGHLANDERS football club are likely to unveil former Zambian international and Zanaco assistant coach Kelvin Kaindu as the new head coach this week, Tumfweko can exclusively reveal.
Kaindu, who has just returned from attachments at English Premiership side Tottenham Hotspur and Championship side Reading, will succeed Mkhuphali Masuku in the hot seat.
Team manager, Jerry Sibanda will be replaced by former player Amin Soma Phiri while goalkeepers’ coach Tembo Chuma will keep his position, sources close to the club confirmed the on Monday.
Executive chairman Themba Ndlela left for Canada Monday to attend an administrators’ course and vice chairman Sikhanyiso Moyo and secretary Andrew Tapela will be in charge when the announcement is made.
“The issue of appointments is dealt with by the executive chairman and I am sure very soon he will be calling for a press conference to make an announcement,” Tapela said.
Bosso are understood to be enlisting the services of veteran defenders Bekithemba “Super” Ndlovu and Dazzy Kapenya to assist Kaindu.
Highlanders had one of their worst seasons in the premiership this year, ending in seventh place after losing 11 matches with many blaming it on the quality of players and not the technical team.
However, some Highlanders supporters have chosen to apportion the blame for the team’s bad spell on the management, with some waving placards denouncing Ndlela and Tapela ahead of elections next month.
Sibanda, the incumbent team manager is said to be eyeing the secretary’s post in the coming elections.
Kaindu’s appointment comes barely a week after another Zambian Coach Tenant Chilumba scooped coach of the year in the Zimbabwean premier league.

We have the strength and spirit but we still lack faith in our local coaches abilities. Our coaches have helped a lot of teams in Southern Africa but due to so bureaucracies in the management systems in Zed, kafwafwa chabe. The U20 have been champions for three straight years in the Cosafa with Zambian coaches. Our players play in big leagues and have been natures bu the very coaches we cant use to steam the national team

Thats great news. Those of you saying foreign clubs have an eye our local coaches, its very normal. Coz when it comes discpline wise he wil be feared, hence hardwork from the players.

Indeed,a prophet is without honour in his land. Just look at how u Zambians demean and insult Great Kalu. I bet even if a local was appointed coach of Chipolopolo, the same people claiming to support a local coach would be the first to insult him.
