U.N. Tells Countries To ABOLISH Anti-HOMOSEXUAL Laws, As Gays & Lesbians CELEBRATE

Currently, there are over 70 nations around the world that will imprison you if you are gay or lesbian. Today, the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon urged repeal of all these laws and any others that discriminate against people if they are gay or lesbian.
According to The Associated Press: “U.N chief Ban Ki-moon has called on countries to abolish laws that discriminate against gays and lesbians.
“The U.N. Secretary-General says cultural concerns cannot justify discriminating against people because of their sexual orientation.
“…Ban’s comments were part of a message read out on his behalf Friday at a U.N. human rights meeting in Geneva.
“Observers said they were unusually strong words on the subject from the head of the global body.”
Furthermore, the following is an excerpt from a U.N. press release:
“Top United Nations officials today appealed to all countries that criminalize people on the basis of their sexual orientation or gender identity to reform such laws and to ensure the protection of basic human rights for all.
“’No doubt deeply-rooted cultural sensitivities can be aroused when we talk about sexual orientation. Social attitudes run deep and take time to change. But cultural considerations should not stand in the way of basic human rights,’ said Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
“In a message to a panel discussion in Geneva on ending violence and criminal sanctions based on sexual orientation and gender identity, which was delivered by UN High Commissioner Navi Pillay, Mr. Ban noted that the responsibilities of the UN and the obligations of States are clear.
“’No one, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, should be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment.Advocates hailed the report, released just one week after the Obama administration announced steps to more fully integrate LGBT human rights into its foreign policy. The White House issued a presidentialmemorandum and Secretary of
State Hillary Clinton told a U.N. audience in Geneva that LGBT rights are human rights. “This is a groundbreaking U.N. effort that restates international law and makes it clear that criminalizing people
because of their sexual orientation or gender identity is a fundamental denial of their human rights and human
dignity. So, too, are acts of violence and discrimination,” said Marc Bromley, chair of the Council for Global Equality.“Based on the standards articulated in this UN document, all countries, including our own,
still have more to do to fully recognize the human rights of their LGBT citizens. The report will be debated at a meeting of
the U.N. Human Rights Council in March, and with South Africa
leading the discussion, the March presentation will ensure that this report guides the work of the U.N.’s human rights
experts worldwide.” Jessica Stern, acting executive
director of the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission, said, “The report is
a tribute to all of the activists who have fought for recognition of homophobic violence and transphobic discrimination over decades, often in the face of extreme hostility. It will serve as an invaluable aid to each one of us who seeks to advance LGBT rights – not only at the United Nations but in cities and towns around the world.”

1) Homosexuality isn’t unique to Homo Sapiens,it has been observed and documented in animals; Google “HOMOSEXXUALITY IN ANIMALS” and follow the 1st & 2nd entries.
2) Homosexuality isn’t a new invention nor does it come from the West,there is ample evidence that it was prevalent in all ancient societies;be the Egyptians,Graeco-Romans,Incas,Muguls of India etc! Even the Kama Sutra talks about it!
3) The issue at hand is giving equal rights under the law,just like all minorities (disabled,albinos,mental patient…) have rights!
4) To all the Christian zealots,you’ve been reading the Bible for merely 50yrs and think you understand it better than the Europeans who have read it for close to 2 millenia?? You say that the Bible is against Homosexuality but deliberately ignore passages where Jesus asks each of us to love those who are different! Look at Europe & America,societies that were purely Causians -”white” only 100 years ago are now multi-ethnic and religious! It’s the Christian teachings of tolerance that have allowed American & European societies to accept Blacks,Jews,Asians…Buddhists,Muslims,Atheists etc!!!

I therefore find it incredibly hilarious that most Zambians on here will disgustingly decry homosexulity, in the manner that black people were denigrated less than a century ago. “Less than animals”, “They don’t deserve to be among us” etc…Most of you Bible bashers seem to have left your common sense at the door when commenting on this artcile.

I’ve also noticed a large number of commenters baying for homosexual blood. Is murder not a sin?! Oh the hypocrisy! Hopefully, all those of you wishing to murder homosexual humans in the name of Christianity will end up in your idea of Hell.

Predictably, I’ll be labeled a Satanist and a Witch, and all manner of childish names, simply because my comments buck the trend of myopic, so called Zambian ideals. Too many Zambians enthusiastically suck up the nonsense they are fed, as long as its in the name of Christianity. It’s disgusting and immature behaviour.

Concerning homosexuals, no one is forcing you to turn gay. For most homosexuals, they were born that way, just like we’re born Black, White, Chinese; Zambian, Egyptian, Russian. You can’t change what you were born as. Besides, the UN ISN’T FORCING YOU TO TURN GAY! One’s sexual practices are their own business. As long as homosexuals aren’t hurting anyone, and they’re having consensual sex, I don’t see the problem.

Pull your heads out of your nether regions. This isn’t the 19th Century. No wonder Zambia is so behind, look no futher that this website for evidence of the Missing Link. They’re all sat behind their computer screens, claping and guffawing like baby seals at the mere mention of Jesus and God with no deep consideration of the Biblical teachings. I can’t believe that the whole word is being brought to its knees over personal preferences. What type of sex you like is your personal business and should not be discussed at the UN. These are bedroom issues.
I know the UN has failed to eradicate world hunger, has failed to maintain peace around the world, has failed to end trafficking, has basically failed.
But now forcing us to accept this unnatural, unhealthy, unnecessary thing is beyond me.

1. “What happens in the bedroom between two consenting adults is no body’s business.” By implication you are also saying what happens in the bedroom between a man and a goat is no body’s business. So long as the goat and the man are not hurting anyone, what does it matter? Meh,this is what you are saying.

2. “I can not choose to be gay I was born this way.” By implication you are also saying I cannot choose to be a thief, a nurderer, a rapist I was born this way. Meh, this is your thinking.

The sexual orientation term is to broad, does it mean we have to allows pedophiles as well? Some people are commenting on gays as if they are experts on the subject. Most Doctors are against anal sex and the reasons given are very clear and I won’t into details.This rubbish of saying ‘to advanced for this country’ is actually shallow. Just because queering your ass for money in hotels and you think are advanced, advanced in what? I’m a lesbian. I’m 25 and I have a partner and I have a job and pay taxes and donate to charities and help people who are in need. What I really want is to marry my partner and solidify my commitment to her in law, I want to raise a child with her and live quietly just like any other couple. In what way does that have anything to do with anyone else?
