CHIPOLOPOLO Lose To ANGOLA 1-0

Zambia’s Chopolopolo boys were beaten 1-0 by Angola in an international training match at Sagrada Esperansa Stadium in nothern Angola.
Chipolopolo trainer Herve Renard got a good review of his charge preparations for next month’s Nations Cup finals as he took his Zambia national soccer team through a tough and competitive training match against Angola’s Palancas Negras. In a match played before a capacity crowd at the Sagrada Esperansa stadium in the Angolan northern city of Dundo, the Zambians dominated play for long first half spells but missed the killer power in the final third. The match was evenly contested especially in the second half.
The Football Association of Zambia has since expressed happiness with the competitive nature of the game saying it provided both teams with good preparations.
“It was a good training international from which we believe the coach will take a lot of positives and continue building a very formidable and competitive team which will be ready to take on the best that Africa will offer from January 21. Our preparations are progressing well and like we have consistently stated, we shall provide the Chipolopolo the best possible environment and training so that the team is ready for the finals. Now we look forward to the next phase of training and the other international matches which we have lined-up as we count down to January 21,” FAZ Spokesperson Erick Mwanza said.
The Chipolopolo return home tomorrow Monday 12/19. The team will continue with its Lusaka training till the 22nd of December when they take a break to be with their families for Christmas. The team will then get together on the 26th December in time for a send-off dinner expected to be graced by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Zambia Michael Sata.

A loose at this stage is ok as it gives the coach and players food for thought. We now need to have more of such games before we leave for the tournament.

u see faz instead of taking them to India where there is no real football u should have just let them to play with Zesco, and other Zambian local teams instead of wasting money.otherwise it is good to loose at this stage so that they work extra hard. it was not a bad game.

No,I say no, let us not console each other. The national team is in mess at the moment. Mwanza has no knowledge of football. Imwe, how do you expect mwana amene afeluka ma test ku pasa exam? no logic. Angola were also using that game as preparatory and are happy that they are progressing well. No need for us to be complacent, things are bad actually even players themselves now know that they will be going to afcon as underdogs having lost all important friendly games. sure, you zambians how can you be happy with this kind of performance?wait and see? Teams like Ghana are wining all there preparatory games and you say things are ok.go to hell. When Angola will be going to Brazil zambia will be going to S.A and FAZ boast of giving the national team quality preparations.when Angola was playing cameroon zambia was playing India look at this. I love the national team but have no faith at moment surely.

By the way, let me generalize my opinion, a normal coach would never allow Kakonje to keep the goal. It seems we have already forgoten how that man messed up years ago, he is no good goal keeper. However, we have no option coz I hear Mweene just cost free state stars by making usual silly mistakes granting Kaizer chiefs a win. And such is a player we are depending on to come and keep a goal for us. It might not be this time coz we are already late to make major changes but its high time we started looking for a dependable goal tender. Last Africa cup mweene cozed zambia to lose by such silly mistakes and we are just quiet and content with such a player. Such mistakes in crucial games matters a lot. World cups are won even by a goal, a silly mistake made.watch out!!!!!

I want to remind fans that zambia’s performance continue to deteriorate, first we lost to Zimbabwe 2-0 in a friendly, then we lost to Nigeria, now we lose to Angola. All these are friendly but important games. we only managed to win India, and you tell me the team is doing well. No! last afcon zambia had big teams for preparation, eg, Chile, Ghana, and when they lost we knew such were big teams but now we are losing even to small teams and continue pating each other that things are ok.something has to be done. We will be more frustrated when Botswana will beat us in the upcoming friendly game. I doubt we gonna win any team in our preparatory games maybe a draw.

love you guys but poseniko amano thats why panji said suspend the national team for 10 years coz it frustrates though thats child mentality, Arsenal lost 8-1 against man u and Man u lost 6 and never suspended the team but it just pains the fans when the team is not performing well when they are expected to.

A lose in Angola is not very bad but bad. Its a sign that something is not well somewhere. We need the team to build the winning mindset. The boys should not go on losing their preparetory matches with african teams becoz the games will be used as a mirror by other teams to study Zambia’s style of play. Need much improvement from the coaching team and players. Elo tilusing’a na position pa rating scale ya ma teams. Bamambala bakachoka early ku Africa Cup bakapeze Zambia inangu ndaba tizapanga team ya ma players bamene timatamba mu FAZ league.

What gud start are you talking about?these gentlemen’s performance is not something recommendable nor smilled at.the coach and his bunch of prefered individuals should not take us fans for granted ,but instead work extra hard or he will not go by himself this time,we will chase hime ourselves.why praise people that so far are not pleasing in what they are doing?

Hard Luck, Bad start, dominating but poor in the final third?

We have heard these stories before, and it is painful to see your National Team wallow in the lower ranks even when they are favourite. When are we as Nation going to conquer our own fears!

That Herve Renard has his own interests and what do you expect if he coached Angola, they already know his tactics and limitations and all they have to do is counter that. Coach, a physical trainer, ati Coach? We deserve our mediocre performances because we accept readily all sorts of medicrity.

Let us call a spade a spade.
The current national team will be eliminated in the first round, period.
we straggled to beat Comoros, a nonentity in football, we drew with Libya, a country that was then under civil strife. We were humbled my Nigeria, a country that has failed to qualify for Africa cup and now it’s Angola. Ba Zambia sure, which team are we going to beat?
The friendlies against South Africa and Botswana are coming, it will be the same old story of,
“they played well but lacked the cathing edge” when ‘ii this catching edge ever come?
