SATA Concedes Leadership VACUUM In His CABINET “Some Of My CABINET MINISTERS Are INDISCIPLINE”

Republican President Michael Sata has directed cabinet ministers to desist from making policy statements in parliament that have not been approved by cabinet.Â

President Sata has also bemoaned the low levels of discipline among ministers who having been missing parliament sittings.

The President says he will only approve international trips for ministers when parliament is sitting in very exceptional circumstances.

President Sata was speaking at State house this morning when he swore-in Dominic Sichinga, Mubanga Kondolo, Chalwe Mchenga and Nicola Phiri as high court judges.

The president also urged the newly sworn-in judges to work towards improving the judicial system in the country.

Mr Sata noted the need for poor people who could not afford legal representation to be helped, adding that government is aware of the many challenges that the judiciary is facing and that will do everything possible to improve the situation

And president Sata has also urged politicians serving in government to ensure they defend the constitution and uphold the rule of law.

President Sata has also noted that it is not government’s intention to deplete opposition parliamentary numbers.

The president said that he has appointed opposition MPs to serve in government because the PF government wants to have an all-inclusive approach in governing the country.

The head of state has also emphasized that the PF government will only take to parliament laws that will have a general consensus of the Zambian people.

The President has since sworn in opposition MMD’s Elijah Muchima, Isaac Banda and Steven Masumba as deputy ministers in the ministries of lands, energy and water development , mines and mineral development and, local government, housing and early childhood respectively.

Colonel Gerry Chanda and Rodgers Mwewa have also been sworn-in as provincial ministers for Lusaka and Copperbelt provinces respectively.

Others sworn-in include Abraham Mwenda as permanent secretary in the ministry of finance and national while Miriam Chinyama and George Zulu will serve in the ministries of education and lands respectively in similar capacities.

this is not leadership vacuum. the big man is trying to balance the cabinet by including pipo from areas he did not do well during the election. pf catchment areas are lusaka, c/belt, liver pool, northern and part of central. already pipo are saying that the cabinet is dominated by pipo from one region. now the big man is incorporating pipo from other regions but still they are complaining.

If the president had any sense of decency he would have talked to the erring ministers in person and not yap to the public instead.
What points is he trying to score by demonising his own bootlickers in public?

Can we avoid vulgar language…umusalula… especially when we speak about the president pls? It’s not always that the president of your choice will be voted in but we have to respect the president he needs our support, our encouraging words, even where we are to correct him lets do it with love and good words he is human. How long are you going to be bitter? He is our president as Zambians. Let us not confuse him by our terrible language, let us learn and begin to respect him pls. We respected ba R.B because he was occupying a very important seat and shall we do the same to His Exc MCS disregarding our political affiliations, we are all Zambians. Thank you

Stop asking questions because whom are you asking ?who knows the salaries for the other people and the positions.I agree with MR PRESIDENT that this ministers they should avoid from making policy statement in the pariament.Let the MP debate the motions and then get information from the members of the pariament.

“Republican President Michael Sata has directed cabinet ministers to desist from making policy statements in parliament that have not been approved by cabinet.

President Sata has also bemoaned the low levels of discipline among ministers who having been missing parliament sittings”.
The above statement by Sata clearly proves that he has vaccum in his cabinate as he was not happy with some of his cabinate ministers who were not attending parliament sitting. If one or two cabinate ministers don’t attend parliament sitting it means that there is vacuum as there is no one to fill in that gap for the ruling party. I therefore agree with the heading of this news. Please don’t blame the writer, he is right. You know there are many ways of not saying things straight in life. Sata he meant what the reporter wrote. Sata is appointing opposition MPs from MMD because he want to fill in that vacuum in parliament and finally in cabinate as the MPs oppointed will be on the side of ruling party as a sign of appreciation.
As these appointments will continue PF will finally have the majority in parliament making Sata introduce bad laws as he will be assured of victory in the parliament.
As Sata wants to have marjority in parliament he will try by all means to corrupt opposition MPs ESPECIALLY MMD.Thank God for UPND which have incorruptable MPs and leadership. UPND keep it up for being incorruptable and against Sata because not long from now those who are supporting Sata will be disappointed by him and will remember you and join you. Very soon GOD will reveal to the whole nation that PF is corrupt.BeliEve me or not by the end of next year many of Sata’s ministers and MPs will start resigning from PF.

Here is a story that tumfweko has ignored. The constitution committe has just included prof. Michelo hansungula, muna ndulo, gladys mutukwa, dr. Upnd beyani, mathew ngulube and john sangwa who has criticised the committee for not having a leagal backing, he is a constitutional laywer who wil assist them to get it right. Pipo am seeing hope in this committee, we shal finally put the issue to rest with satisfaction of eveyone. Well done mr president 4 removing youself frm the process. Theirs hope pipo.

    2. nevers mumba power hungry the one the call pale blue member (not true blue)
    3. the suspension of katele’s wife and why dora used abusive language to her?

Where are we on Zamtel? No one seems to be answering this question!

Leadership vacuum or not, the idea that HE MCS has is to indirectly increase the numbers of MPs in parley on PF’s side to get legislation through – so it is somehow not true that he wants to have a “an all inclusive and balanced approach to governing the country”!! Blasphemy of the worst kind!

I think it has dawned on the PF that governance is serious business and it is not easy. The youth not being appointed, cadres left in the cold, non-fulfilling of campaign promises, street vendors, poor etiquette by HE MCS etc etc are just some of the issues in the tip of the ice-berg……..

    Good afternoon………..

WASHING DIRTY LINEN IN PUBLIC. Why not just talk to his PF MPs, Ministers and the MMD ‘prostitutes’? Separation of powers postulates that The President is NOT the head of the National Assembly. If some MPs are not attending sessions, that is The Speaker’s problem.

D.S CHIBS you will campaign for UPND even for a 100 years using cheap arguments and nothing that you dream of will come to pass. Its interesting to note that you are now a prophet but the most consoling thing is that you are an envious prophet of doom. The P.F govt is fighting MMD corruption and your beloved UP and DOWN or is it UPND is working with MMD.Its the P.F which is working on a new constitution that UPND and MMD failed to deliver at the NCC. So continue decieving yourself because Zambians know what UPND and MMD are and what they stand for. Shame on you!!!!!!!!!!
