RENARD Hints At Major Chipolopolo AFCON Squad Shakeup “Some changes can make the difference”

CHIPOLOPOLO Coach Herve Renard says changes to the team can make a difference in their aspiration for glory.
Speaking after Tuesday afternoon’s training session Renard said some senior players’ inclusion in the final team will depend on their physical condition.
Meanwhile, James Chamanga sat out training owing to an injury sustained during the Angola friendly game.
The Frenchman said the goal drought in high profile friendly matches against Nigeria and Angola may be as a result low confidence in some players.
“With the preparations I am not worried I am just happy to get some new players even if its two or three it is very important,” he said.
“If you put two or three more new players in the team it is almost 35 percent like at 2010 Africa Cup when we had Stophilla Sunzu, Emmanuel Mbola and Thomas Nyirenda starting.”
He added: “Some changes can make the difference.”
Renard heaped praise on Chisamba Lungu who is being tried out as a left back to add pace to his aging backline.
“I used Chisamba Lungu as a left back (Angola game), before the game you would have told me that I am crazy but he was the best player on the field. It is good news like to get a player like Nathan Sinkala and to play in international standard he was one of the best players,” Renard said.
On the low goal rate Renard coyly responded: “We have so many strikers like Emmanuel Mayuka, Roger Kola, and Collins Mbesuma so we do not have to be worried. We have the material… It is a problem of confidence a lot of times that means the confidence will come with a lot of hard work. It will depend on the senior players if they are able physically to be in the squad some have got some problems physically and injuries.”
Renard said he will unveil his
final 23 players after Thursday
afternoon training session.
Doctor Kabungo said he will
thoroughly assess Chamanga
after a scan on Thursday.

Are u telling me that in this country of 13 million plus the players he has are the best we have . What the coach is saying is that interferance in the selection is what is a problem there are players both local and abroad whom we can call but becoz teti ba cheke so they are not called

ba jeff of the 13million pipo we also have women, chldren and women that look like men and men that have oredy spent their lives which leaves only about 1million pipo eligible to be in the team. of the 1million 3/4 of them they use the mouth to play and not the legs..like you… so keep you statistics to yourself and let pipo do their work.

This time around let Renard do his work in peace. Don’t make unneccessary negative comments about him.

Aah Yown. Aaah. Same Old story.Same expected result. Our Players fail to score and have full / plenty of comedy of errors at such tournaments.I would like and love to support them, but they dont rise to occasion and they seem to limit themselves on what they can achieve.

No soccer pa zed.Actually the first training session for the players should be watching the English and Spanish league for a month. Maybe they can get the confidence The coach is talking about. We are tired of player who are always inspired and never inspire

negative or positive criticisms for our coach are necessary if our football has to go a notch higher.

eeeh! yayaya!!,here comes second half and zambia is down by a goal but seem to attack with full force. pye pye pyeee…. well played guys. matimba nkonje inteviewed; we played very well despite no sco.but the boys played well and lets just urge them to train harder next time. but we needed the likes of singuluma and you see, mbesuma should have bn substuted for fwayo. bla bla bla. this will repeat itself for long if we are not carefull.and rena will later go back home with his full package.
