REPUBLICAN President Michael Sata has seriously expressed disappointment over failure by the Chairperson of the ZRA Commission of Inquiry Kingsley Chanda to give summary of the Report.
President Sata is also disappointed that a parliamentarian refused to appear before a Commission of Inquiry on the contract for the supply, installation and commissioning of the Zambia Air Traffic Management Surveillance Radar System.
He explained that a parliamentarian refused to appear before the Commission of Inquiry because it’s commissioners are NOT serious.
Sata was speaking this today Thursday 12/22 at State House.
Sata has since directed Minister of Finance Alexander Chikwanda to table the Report of the Zambia Revenue Authority Commission of Inquiry before cabinet.
And Mr. Chanda has since said he is confident that the Report will help government in tax administration.
SATA appointed the ZRA Commission of Inquiry to also among other things investigate the awarding of contracts to various firms and establish whether the law was followed.
Over one hundred witnesses appeared before the ZRA Commission of Inquiry, which sat for over a month.

Are Sata’s cadres that gullible that they support any mischief the guy does? Is called presenting the report not briefing you on the report.

@Pipo Pipo,
the languages widely spoken/understood in Zambia are Bemba and Nyanja. Don’t tell me you don’t understand either of the two unless you are not in Zambia. For example, what languages do you expect villagers from Western, Southern and Northwestern to use when they come to Lusaka and C/Belt? Lets accept dynamism of language development. Some languages will die natural deaths while some will spread. What is retrogressive in using venacular after all? Just admit you are a trbalist to the bone marrow.

From what I can see, it is very possible that the report has not implicated anyone, especially RB, otherwise the president would have not have reacted in the manner he did if it was just a question of a summary of the report. Plse our president, when you appoint a commission of inquiry don’t expect the result to always be in your favour. I am very sure that the chairperson and his team did a professional job except that they did not come up with the result that pleased the Cobra,
allergic to corruption!

That’s wat happens wen the outcome of the inquery is preconsived or predetermined. Wen u get a slightly different outcum, u get disapointed. The terms of reference were also predetermined. On the other hand the report mayb too technical for our dull president to understand.

SATA decides the outcome at the begining.
.
So when he appoints educated people to handle these commisions and the give him facts different from his feelings, he gets dissapointed.
.
Imagine if the Finance bank commsion took off and found that actually, BOZ was right to sieze it from Mahtan, what would SATA do after he has already given it to Mahtan??
.
SATA has not understood the meaning of presidency.
.
His whole political life has been about combining commedy and insults to make many disgrantled people lough.
.
SATA ia never serious about many things, and never cares the outcome of anything.
.
Nkandu Luo is now wondering whether she is a REMOTE of a minister.
.
Luo is still questioning whether she is a rubber-stamp or a dicission-maker.
.
Right now, anyone can camp in any corridor or street, or set up a carwash on any place on any road – it will matter nothing.
.
Are those Nkandu Luo’s values or she will sell her values for a Salary??
.
It is now becoming clear that the imput of ministers and other government leaders is uncertian. The have been reduced to dancing queens and Kings.
.
If the trend is not checked, Zambia’s economy, dignity, morals, etc are headed for a collapse!!!

This man so called MCS, he was just angry that the report didnt have predetermined outcome, he alraedy had an envisaged outcome, one could easily tell from the Terms of Reference: he hoped that could steer the inquiry to his liking. Don’t even call the Chairperson dull, check your president’s engine firstly. The only difference between MCS & MUGABE is that one lives in Zimbabwe & the other in Zambia.

The president has every right to complain because the zra report has no summary brief which should help him make policy decisions.
This which hunt against the previous gvt is a waste of time and money. This was supposed to be a new beginning or change. Pf should drive this country in a new direction and bring wealth and prosperity to all zambians.
Am beginning to think the pf has no new agenda for this country, same old policies as the mmd. Let the president stop polticking get down to work instead of making un progressive pronouncement. Mr sata has promises to deliver.
