Former minister of energy Kenneth Konga has been summoned by the Zambia police at the former taskforce offices.
Police spokesperson Elizabeth Kanjela who confirmed the development to QFM said Mr. Konga was summoned at 15 hours today.
However,Ms. Kanjela could not give the reasons why the former minister in the MMD government has been summoned saying she was on her way to the former task force offices were Konga was being questioned by broadcast time.
And Police in Gwembe are investigating the source of K50, 000 counterfeit notes that are in circulation in Munyumbwe area.
This follows the detection of fake K50, 000 notes by a named bank that received cash deposits from the Gwembe District Council last week.
Assistant Council Treasurer, Desmond Chifuwe told police in Gwembe that the council received nine fake K50, 000 notes as payment for levy at the Munyumbwe checkpoint amounting to K450, 000.
ZANIS reports that the fake notes were among the money collected at the barrier from un-identified sources.
A named council accountant was almost arrested when he tried to deposit the money at the bank.
The officer explained to bank officials that the accounts department was not able to detect the fake notes.
Another two K50, 000 notes were also detected at a named shop in Munyumbwe.
The shopkeeper could, however, not trace the customer who cashed the counterfeit notes amounting to K100, 000 as the fake money was detected long after the shop had closed to customers.
Police are on the ground trying to trace the source of counterfeit notes and no arrests have been made so far.
Police in Gwembe have since advised the community to be on the lookout for the fake currency that is in circulation and help trace its source.QFM

I realise, with great disappointment, that Tumfweko does’nt know the difference between WERE and WHERE. Where as it is easy to correct mistakes as you read, I feel a site of Tumfweko’s calibre should’nt tolerate such silly errors. Polish up please because it’s not only Zambians that have access to this. How many times do I have to correct words such as these: THEIR/THERE, HAIR/AIR, FRESH/FLESH, I’LL BE/HOW BE etc? Come on guys…leave mistakes to those who comment on your articles.

My friend callingyourself “bemba tulateka” its not about who is in office, its about who has abused power. Even PF ministers should be made to account for their dubiously acquired wealth. You sound like you are supporting stealing my bro, think about tomorrow. The problem with Zambians like you is that you fail to understand simple issues such as differentiating between governing and stealing

2.does'nt must be DOESN'T

Why do we rush to announce cases under investigations? Is it a publicity stunt? If the USA had announced that they were clossing in on Bin Ladin surely they wouldnt have got him. During RB, public media was all about “Dev Projects” now It’s all about Seizing Property & Cash, without exhausting investigations proffesionaly. Mind you Konga has been a Minister, MP & business man. Secondly Chavuma Constituency is just next to Angola. Villages there play with GOLD from Angola. Period!!

Batu Pili, Air Mukwai, etc its only Zambians who laugh at each other wen they speak broken English. Listen to Nigerians, South Africans, even my cousins from South. They dont take pride in English but their mother tongues. Mean while, they are very educated. Why take pride in a colonial foreign language? you should be ashamed.

The problem with us Zanbian’s we love and worship poverty any semblance of success is as a result of corruption or satanism. If you are a private person and you succeed you are a satanist if you are a politician you are corrupt thats Zambia we scorn and despise successful people. If you are a successful pastor you are eating the congregants tithe’s and offering. If you are a woman you are sleeping around with every Jim and Jack. This clearly shows we are a people who love poverty and are ready to die poverty stricken we despise success. Zambia must work up its a lie from the pit of hell that our only means of livelihood should be street vending.
