SATA Makes CHANGES To His CABINET

SATA

REPUBLICAN President Michael Chilufya Sata has made some changes in cabinet, Tumfweko understands.
The changes are with immediate effect. The changes are as follows;
Hon. Kambwili Chishimba – FROM Ministry of Foreign Affairs TO the Ministry Of Labour
Hon. Fackson Shamenda – FROM Ministry Of Labour TO The Ministry Of Information and Tourism
Hon. Given Lubinda – FROM the Ministry of Information TO the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs
Hon Kambwili Chishimba has been given that ministry in order to fight for the suffering workers countrywide and straighten up certain things.
What remains to be seen is whether Hon Fackson Shamenda will cope with media bruises and government critics.

@Maboshe Mambo, Patrick is not eligible to be appointed minister because he lost elections. Our constitution does not allow that, it’s why some people wanted to impeach his father when he appointed Nevers Mumba VP

No wonder we cant develop. These ministers need to know something about the ministry they are heading. How does one talk about Foreign affairs and in 3 months he has to talk about Labor issues which he does not understand. Would anyone be comfortable having a carpenter operate on them or would one insist on finding a medical doctor. What is the point of these changes, waste of time!

The witch hunt began with the rumour smear that Given was competitively repositioning to succeed Michael. Now, Given is from the wrong side of the regional power politics, consipiracy if you want. His stealing of the limelight cannot just be on. Shut him up with a semblance of a senior ministry. Who dares bark otherwise?

Yes its bravo to Kambwili but not kulacivivula kwati nikusikulu! the man sometimes is too forceful. he needs to slow down abit and deal with real issues lest we lose even these petty jobs as the dollar owners may vacate!

The president shud just retire Fackson Shamenda. He can not defend Govt. He is a coward. Lubinda was better of at Information. Kambwili, a good change but shud be careful the way he approaches others. Too much tantrums like a callboy.

I feel like kissing MCS for the recent reshufle. That’s how it should be: appoint people to positions that suit them. Kambwili was a misfit at Foreign Affairs but I expect him to perform wonders at Labour. Given Lubinda has the calibre and charisma suiting a Minister of Foreign Affairs. Congratulations Mr President for a job well done!

  36. Given Lubinda is the best calibre Sata has in his Cabinet

    January 13, 2012 at 10:16 am

    Honourable Lubinda

Congratulations on this appointment. However, know this that even though you also made changes in your previous Ministry, the Foreign Affairs appointments made by Kambwili especially at High Commissioner level were poor and they need to be revisited. He sidelined very good CVs and argued that he needed to employ those Zambians who were out of employment and not because of their expertise in marketing and packaging Zambia properly abroad.Ethically, you should demand a proper hand-over from him to include the CVs he has been sidelining. If President Sata expects professional reports with recommendations, his Ministers must also be accountable at every point. Kambwili should in fact be deputy to Mbulu who is nuanced in labour matters and not vice versa.

wHAT Most Zambians don’y see is the fact that Given Lubinda is the main reason for the mean reshuffle. Reports that he had turned the media into some sort of campaign too have sent shockwaves in the PF ranks.

THE President also did not want to make it obvious that his prefered successor was Kambwili by taking him to take over from given but Labour is more likely to put Kambwili in the lime light by frequent contacts with the media by nature.

Well, it shows us where we are going and how this new government wants no other tribe to take credit for any achievements, if any, that the current may undertake. Given tried to give a good image to PF but some people were not at ease with his diplomatic but emphatic ways of dealing with issues.

Lets adjust our microscopes and see where we are going with unobstructed vision.
