SANGOMA ‘The Octopus’ Predicts Zambia’s Victory In This Year’s AFCON Finals

Maponyane

A SOUTH African traditional healer and fortune teller or Sangoma claims the Chipolopolo boys will win this year’s Africa Cup-especially that their two goals against Senegal coincide with the date this year’s Africa Cup finals started and will end.

Sangoma Mchuzu tells a South African radio station Ukhodzi fm that God told him earlier this month that Zambia would bag this year’s Africa Cup.

“God told me in my sleep that this year was for Zambia…there is no doubt about it,” ‘Dr’ Mchudzu said.

He added that after Zambia beat Senegal on Saturday night, he was sure that Zambia would emerge victorious.

“Remember that Zambia scored their first goal in the 12th minute which is the exact date Africa cup will end. They scored their second goal in the 21st minute which is the date the Africa Cup started.

“This confirms God’s message to me that Zambia will win. Let’s all South Africans rally behind our Zambian neighbours so that they truly win,” the Sangoma said.

The claim that Zambia would win this year’s Africa Cup apparently originated from another South African- Marks Maponyane who is a Soccer Analyst at the state owned South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC).

Reviewing the Zambia Versus Senegal match which was beamed live on SABC 1, Maponyane told other soccer analysts that he felt Zambia would bag the Africa Cup because of the coincidence of its goals with the Africa Cup dates.

“We have seen Zambia scoring its goals on dates that have something to do with the day the Africa Cup started and ended. Do we see Zambia winning the AFCON finals because of this? I would love to think so!” Maponyane said.

Maponyane was a professional footballer for 17 years. In 1984 he was nominated as South African Sports Hero of the Year. In 1983, 1987 and 1994 Maponyane was awarded the SA Footballer of the year Award – the only South African to receive this award more than once. He was the Captain of Kaizer Chiefs between 1985 and 1988 and played for Bafana Bafana from 1992 to 1995.

Zambia on Saturday night earned an excellent opening day 2-1 win over fancied Senegal in Group A of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.

Emmanuel Mayuka opened the scoreline for Zambia after 12 minutes, with Rainford Kalaba doubling their lead seven minutes later.

Senegal substitute Dame Ndoye pulled one back for Senegal with a beautifully taken strike.

But the Teranga Lions proved sluggish throughout and wasted a handful of chances to level the tie.

    This Sangoma should keep quiet, we are a Christian nation and Sangoma’s are not allowed to talk about Christians.

    You are not the only one who does not trust them. RB believed them and he was so confident of winning the elections. What happened. Mwandini boys play your game. Do listen to these cheaters! Who have nothing substantial to offer.
    If they were serious, SA’s Bafana-bafana would be playing now!
    Go Zambia, Go! Concentrate, no distraction! Viva Chipolopolo! Let these so-called Sangomas to go hung before they are finally a definitely hunged on standing on nails in hell. Ha ha ha ha ha aaaaaa!

    As the Sangoma says God showed him in a vision, I wouldn’t just brush off the above as rubbish. And who says God can’t speak to Sangoma’s? As for me, I just saw Zambia finish top of their group in a dream; way before the AFCON even started- most of my good dreams come to pass!. But I remain hopeful they’ll ‘bag’ the Cup!

    In December last year, I had a dream and I saw our National Team celebrating and I had alot of questions about it, is the celebration for the African Cup or what…but what I understood is that you only celebrate for a great achievement and we are carrying the trophy this time around.

    Like that infamous Paul the Octopus, sangomaz and any other prediction just add to the excitment of the game and there iz no need for anybody to go ballistic about them.
    By the way, when, where, and to who doez Pastor Makembo preach if he iz not talking football?

    21/1/12 AFCON starts

    12th min => 1st goal
    21st min => 2nd goal

    Scores Zam 2 – Sen1

    12/2/12 AFCON ends.

    The numbers 1 & 2 are significant here.

    If the first goal was scored in the 12th minute and the second was scored seven minutes later, as we are told in the story, then teh second goal was scored in teh 19th minute, not 21st minute!
