BAN Ki MOON Tells Off African Leaders “AFRICA Should Respect HOMOSEXUAL RIGHTS Or Else..”

Ban Ki-moon

United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon made a startling comment yesterday 1/29 in Ethiopia when addressing the African Union Summit. He told African leaders that they should respect the rights of homosexuals.
He told the leaders that they need to stop treating gays as second class citizens or even criminals.

In many African nations homosexuality is not only discouraged but officially against the law. There is awful discrimination against homosexuals and widespread violence is reported in African countries against them.

In Africa more than 38 countries have laws banning homosexuality. In Mauritania, Sudan, and northern Nigeria, homosexuality can be punishable by death. In Uganda, offenders can gain a maximum of a life imprisonment for homosexual acts. South Africa has the most liberal attitudes toward gays and lesbians, with a constitution which guarantees gay and lesbian rights, and legal same-sex marriage.

Many first world nations have begun to address the issue of Gay Rights in Africa. Most European Union countries want to put restrictions on aid to countries that openly discriminate against homosexuals.

Gay rights is a growing issue throughout the entire world. In most middle eastern countries and those governed by Islamic law homosexuality is punishable by death.

In most western countries gays and lesbians enjoy a majority of civil rights, with marriage being a notable exception in some countries.

Do you think it was courageous for Ban Ki Moon to stand up for gay rights in Africa?

man to man marriage is immoral!! put it simply if the west want it let them have it in the west but africa doesnt need it. by the way are they also pursuading muslims to be guys or they get rebuffed!! to be poor does’nt mean to loose self respect and dignity. maybe they should cut the umbilical cord attached to their gay right connotation. No one can come into my house and start making rules even if he buys bread, to hell with his bread, can do without. Africa open your eyes and read between the lines that Ban Ki Moon is not persuading china to observe gay rights, why should he pursue africa, he should be rational!!

    Lets respect Africa please

God is God and he is greater than anything earthly. Ban Ki Moon might be saying something he doesnt even believe in but being used by super powers. However, lets all that believe same sex partnership/marriage is evil, pray and possibly fast even to conquer them for they never created themselves. God first and anything else is secondary. Evil will remain evil. as Christians and Moslems that believe that same sex marriages r evil must adjust and become more powerful than even b4 this statement in our country laws against gays and lesbianism. God knew what he was doing by creating man and woman. If what moon said is what God wanted, he was going to create man and man and not other wise. May I ask one question plse, do these pipo have children by having sex through gay and lesbianism??? Or they just adopt other pipoz children???? Or even go to hospital to use tubes etc??? I need an answer, plse. Zambia is a Chrsitian Nation and thus we believe in what God has told us to do and not what UN has told us to do. After all we only affiliated to Un and anytime we want, we can go out of it. Better suffer on this earth but enter the kingdom of God later than enjoy on earth and suffer in hell 4 ever. To hell with who ever supports gays and lesbianism. Bravo God our creator.!!!

To all the dunderheads “homophobics” GAY RIGHTS IS HUMAN RIGHTS BASTA!
Mind your own business…leave the homosexuals worry about their own preferences of who they want to spend their rest of their lives with, as long as its between consenting adults.. ba kolwé imwe… mind your own asrse-holes and leave other peoples to worry about their’s nishi kanshi?

I think the issue of homosexuality is a touchy one for africans. We feel it is not in our society but the truth is that it is happening. We can chose to ignore and pretend or adress the fact that gay people are a part of our society. It might not open but it does exist. Your brothers, sisters, cousins, colleagues, even some of the politician are Gay.
I think its time we face reality as much we cannot accept it. Who are we to judge and pass judgment on others. Being Homosexual doesnt make people any less productive. Wake up!!! Weather we accept it or not it will always be there.

If the western world wants Africans to accept homosexuality, they should first accept polygamy. Polygamy is outlawed in western society. Therefore, if they want to impose something which is despised in Africa, they should also first accept what they despise; and that is polygamy.
