If one is to achieve anything in life, it is important to maintain very high levels of discipline. Surely how boys could not wait for the remaining days of the tornament?

FAZ vice president Boniface Mwamelo has been flashed out of the Zambian camp in connection with a drinking spree involving players at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Team manager Lusekelo Kamwambi has also been caught up in the mess as one of the officials that accompanied the players for illicit activities to seemingly continue their ‘dochi kubeba’ celebration.
The incident has since claimed the ejection of 2007 CAF African Player of the Year and talented winger Clifford Mulenga.

Mwamelo has since been stripped of his role as delegation leader which his ally and FAZ treasurer Kelvin Mutafu has assumed as the deputy chief searches for the next connection flight from Malabo to Lusaka.
FAZ is refusing to give details of the embarrassing incident that implicates more than six members of the traveling party including some players.
Expectedly striker Collins Mbesuma, whose career is marred with beer related scandals for Chipolopolo, was among the players that participated in an overnight celebration following Zambia’s passage to the quarterfinals.
Mbesuma was joined by defender Hichani Himoonde and striker Jonas Sakuwaha.
Ironically, only Himoonde has made first team place while Mulenga has played 60 seconds with Mbesuma earning an in and out record during the three matches Zambia has played.
News of the incident broke immediately the team arrived in Bata from Malabo with Mulenga also in the contingent.
Mwamelo had conspicuously bade farewell to the team before they shifted camp from Malabo back to Bata as FAZ officials remained tight-lipped on the issue.
Apparently, Renard had told the FAZ officials that if it was not Mwamelo to leave camp for the uncouth behaviour, the Frenchman was opting out of the competition.
It is not the first time Mwamelo has found himself linked to illicit activities in camp as similar incidents, albeit wrapped from public consumption, has implicated the FAZ officials.
It is understood that Mwamelo is among the few FAZ officials who runs out of imprest and the association would still send him more cash.
Mwamelo was caught in similar party scenes when Zambia participated at the CECAFA tournament a year ago.
Players and officials complained about Mwamelo’s behaviour but no disciplinary action was meted out.
Last year, he threatened to quit for irreconcilable differences with FAZ general secretary George Kasengele but made a swift U-turn after he was allegedly dropped as delegation leader on one of the national team trip.
At broadcast time, Mwamelo was unavailable for a comment as he was reportedly on his way back to Lusaka.
Deputy sports minister Rayfold Mbulu is at the competition and is expected to be briefed on the incident.
Zambia face Sudan in a quarterfinal many consider a gift for Chipolopolo to march to the semi-finals for the first time since 1996.
